I'm gonna be honest here: I'm usually not a fan of trans Ed fics. Granted, I've only read a couple so far (not including this one), so I suppose I shouldn't say that, but what I have read was admittedly very badly done. What mostly bugged me about those fics was the fact that the situation was the reverse of the situation in this, where Ed was male but wanted a female body and preferred girly things- which I think is extremely out of character for him. I feel that even a female Ed would be more boyish than anything else, and wouldn't want to wear makeup or dresses or anything else that is considered stereotypically feminine.

This story, though, kept Ed perfectly in character, and was very well done overall. I loved how it felt almost like I was rewatching the series but with a difference that doesn't take away from the story or its characters, only adds to it. I loved how Ed was still very much the same Ed we all know and love, just with an issue with his body that he's been dealing with for pretty much his whole life. And I especially love how, just when Ed had given up all hope of fixing himself and accepted that he was going to be like that the rest of his life, Hohenheim came and sacrificed the rest of his life to give Ed the body he always wanted.

In other words, this was brilliant. I salute you for creating this.

Roy's attitude is wonderful and it's sad that it's not normal. Riza's too.
The ending of first chapter - I love his dilemma! And the fact that he decided against it over and over again? Brave.
I'm not sure about the ending, on one hand it's a little too good, on the other it's ironic - the moment Ed decided to start accepting himself he gets his wish. Or maybe it was karma.
