Aww... I felt sad and happy at the same time while reading... I mean, the Ichigo and Rukia we know never would be unfaithful but like you said, Ichigo was not himself on that stupid ending, neither was Rukia. Because If things would be the same, well, they would end up together... Anyway! The new Rukia and Ichigo could be like you picture them. Living a life with their families but they couldn't help to love each other and sometimes their restraint would go to hell making them surrender to their truly feelings. I could feel the guilty in Rukia's heart but the fact is she can't deny what she feels and the truth she is craving to be with Ichigo like he does. A love that is forbiden but not less strong (

The smut's the main course, of course, I love a dominant Ichigo. ;) But what really got me is the post-sex scene. Ichigo rinsing and conditioning her hair conveys such love it's heartbreaking.
