| DaSalvatore chapter 3 . 6/9/2019 There seems to be a major running theme in your stories. A disjointed Harry who is removed from social norms due to outside situations and so has a far more rigid, stripped down black and white mentality. The problem with this is that, while it works perfectly in a story such as Feral, it fails utterly in both Dead Man Walking and this story. You rip away anything relates to who Harry Potter is through some outside force (war in the first case, dimension hopping and everything else here) to the point he has no concept of being human anymore. And yes, this can work for an MoD Harry, how you write the character generally comes across as a bit clunky and forced. It might be you struck gold with Feral or you're trying to recapture the same feel of its Harry without adjusting to the new situation for the basic character, or something I haven't thought of. What I do know is that it makes it incredibly difficult to read your stories and not be either confused or have no emotional connection to the main character. |
