I actually really really wanted for wolverines to loose. It would give much more realistic vibes instead of a fairytale, or maybe use megaminds presence for the other team to be shocked/afraid while metro city is already used to him or something. Still, it was really good, i loved all your stories i read so far, and going through the rest now.

That was a great story! I loved the innuendos, the double-entendre, that you made everywhere about "losing" or "winning" or... Well, it certainly felt thought-through and complete.

It also made me think that you've never done a story where Megamind adopts another identity to hang out with Roxanne, like he did as Bernard. In the end, this shorter take on the "strategyshall we say improvisation) makes more sense, though. I mean, how could Roxanne not notice?

Utterly awesome, as always. I find baseball boring, meself (I’m Canuck, give me ice and sticks), but I know the feeling of being caught up in the fanatical crowd.

By the way, I ADORE how you have a significant portion of Metro City aware and betting on our lovebirds. You have in Code: Safeword Megamind explicitly monitors his and Roxanne’s reputations online with code; may I offer up the phrase “SuperRocks” (and for the shippers themselves, “SuperRockers”) as an in-universe name for the pairing that they realize escapes his algorithm but still is a cute portmanteau?

I love the idea that a solid third of Metro City is WELL aware of what is going on and actively ships MegaRox. Tying that in with the betting (also in Valentine’s Day Kiss) just tickles me. Keep up the wonderful work!

LOL Roxanne looked very kissed! That was a great line. I sympathized with Megamind's panic at being caught out in 'normal' clothes, and also appreciated Roxanne's grabbing hold of his belt loop to make him stay put! I laughed at the betting going on behind them. The Wolverines win, and Roxanne and Megamind win too. A perfect ending!

Loved this story! The first time Roxanne and Megamind kissed on the Kisscam, I was sure his disguise was gonna give away right in front of Metroman, and the crowd would "OOOH BOOOI" as Megamind ran for his life. But I liked the way it turned out, even though it was pretty sappy. And all the onlookers you came up with really brought it together. Thanks for the lovely story!

I like the way you handled the breakup of the fake dating arrangement. It was very believeable and in character for both of them. And I was very amused by Mia and Parvati: "We broke up Metro Man and Roxanne Ritchi." You do your usual fine job with the mutual pining and thinking-it's-unrequited-when-it's-not angst. Also, Megamind's similar attitude toward the crowd: expecting that he will be hated and being surprised that people cheer for him. And even continuing to ask after they got back to Roxanne's place, so that she had to explain. Nice reuse of lines from the movie: "we won today." So did we, your readers.
