They're never even going to check their room for bugs, even if they obviously can't remove them while 'off duty' without making it look like an accident, are they?

There are certain stories, in this fandom, that stand out amongst the rest — and this is one of them. The writing style has an almost hypnotic and poetical quality to it, that I’ve rarely encountered. The intense back-and-forth dialogues between Nick and Judy are an absolute joy to read and feel both natural and plausible— The characters' doubts, fears and insecurities bought to life.

I'm slightly saddened to read that you cut so much content — I suspect it was still rather good, even if you didn't think so yourself. And I’m always up to,read more of what I love.

I've just finished my third re-read of this, to bring me up to date with the latest chapter, and the story still holds up as an enjoyable and thought-provoking read. Nick and Judy's characters are both faithful to their movie counterparts and developed well as they're thrust into new situations and experiences.

The 'One. Two. Three.' Device, used throughout the chapter really ratcheted up the tension — reversing it at the end there was brilliant, but then... no more story... nooooooo! A cliff-hanger ending leaves us wanting, no, *needing* more.

I'm hoping your obvious love for Zootopia, and these characters, continues and that you'll be able to carry on with this story — what you have here is special and deserves every bit of love it receives and then some!

If this is the third iteration of this chapter...then by god I am so happy for the wait. What a fantastic chapter, in an already fantastic story. You hit so many key points of their personalities and made even the darkest aspects into a loving and caring grace. Well friggin done, I applaud you with standing ovation.

I have a feeling this vacation will end like most of their cases. With explosions and lots of action. Also, you've got to stop having these huge chapters come after such a long time. I've got to reread the entire thing from the very beginning every time and 90k is a big deal, even for me. And worst of all, I darn tear up on the same chapters and my heart can't take that much feels.

I thought you had decided to leave it at Chapter 10 as it was great as it was. This makes things even better. You certainly write a mean inner reflection of Nick's ghosts, recriminations, troubles, imperfections, insecurities and overall self-deprecation. Wordy? Yes. Too wordy? No. I don't know if I 'd be able to write as well as this but I love how you delve deep into their inner minds to see what drives them. You capture Nick's thoughts quite well and bare to us readers what it is that makes him tick. I really like this vulnerable Nick which is similar in a way to MidnightOpheliac's own Nick character. Again, if you choose to end the story here, I would not object except that we still have to hear same those three words that Judy has said already twice.

First of all, STOP beating yourself up about the chapter. You di a very good job with what's out there.
Second, talk about a bunch of introspection, damn …. good job.

This is right up there with the very best Zootopia fictions — and I can't believe I only discovered it when you recently updated. Pretty much every box is ticked for what I want to read in a story — every facet of the burgeoning relationship handled wonderfully with an underlying philosophical writing style that lends so much rich detail and weight to the characterisation. I'm absolutely hooked and long for more — thank you so much for allowing us to come along with you on this tale. This is definitely a story I’ll come back to to re-read again and again.

An apt descriptor for the chapter's title considering its content. They sure are made for each other, and if Nick ever has any thoughts on words that best describe his bunny, I'm sure 'perfect' would come to mind for him as well. Can we just call the both of them together 'perfect' and leave it at that? Ooh, and 'adorkable' on top of that too. XD

This chapter did bring up a good point too: where to go from here? There's the public eye to think about in terms of what others will do and say when they learn of the new interspecies romance in their midst, but to me, the most important thing to me is what Bogo will think, and an extension of that, what it will mean for their partnership on the force. Maybe if they spin their argument into something along the lines of 'no public affection while on duty' and 'keep things strictly professional when in uniform,' they can persuade him. Won't be easy to persuade him fully, but knowing Bogo, he understands their effectiveness as partners and knows splitting them up would be a tough decision. I can see him messing with them a little bit though to make them sweat.

Regardless, Judy's sudden realization about that little detail was ALL kinds of hilarious. You know it's serious when she curses for real and doesn't use her usual 'sweet cheese and crackers.'

I very much enjoyed the conversation about identity and whatnot as well. Both of their answers made perfect sense to me and felt in line with their characters. Heck, it seemed like both of them learned a thing or two about themselves from that line of questioning, not just who they were asking. You sure know how to get the musings going for both them and us readers, because that made me think quite a bit on the overarching themes.

And yes, as per usual, I'm a huge fan of how you're writing the blossoming of their romantic relationship, spontaneous kisses and all. Considering how many "dates" they've been on unaware, they've had plenty of practice beforehand to prepare them for that fun outing. I suddenly have a hankering to go find an arcade and play to my heart's content! :D

All in all, another terrific round of reflection, introspection, and sharing of feelings for these two. Having read Zootopia fanfiction for well over two and a half years now, it's fics like this one which have that spark of fun, adventure, and WildeHopps goodness that keep me an avid reader for so long. So yeah, I'll keep on enjoying this crazy little thing with ya!

It's a funny thing how stories usually live their own lives, apart from the authors expectations. Especially the ones we actually invest not just some time and words, but our very souls. Those also happen to be the best kind of stories. This was more than worth the wait. Hope you keep going where the story takes you and show us the result of it.

This is such a wonderful story. I love these two so much, and you did make it work. It all flows together. I love how Nick knew his feelings all along, but your description of a burnt past for it, and hers a brand new one off the shelf. I figured, her family pushed for her to start a family early. Start the farm life you g. She probably pushed away dates and suiters for her dream. Always the cop mindset. Nick has called her perfect for a while, and now she's realizing he's perfect too. It's just so darn sweet. I can hear Nick's inner voice yelling "finally". To have that assurance he isn't crazy, to have everything fall into place.

I love this world called Zootopia too.

Thank you so much for this absolute masterpiece of a story, it will be a severe understatement to say I greatly anticipate the next chapter.

I don't want to say that this is the best chapter because there are still more to come but this is the best chapter so far. From it's in depth look of Judy and Nick's new found relationship, all the way to the feel and mastered wordplay that tells a story of love and tension. I don't even know how to describe the incredibly dynamic personality that has been fitted to each character. I also understand what you mean with the authors note at the end of the chapter where you talk about your uncertainty of quality for each chapter. It is a common occurrence for people and happens just about anywhere. As long as you like what you write, we will support you. In my own opinion, I would keep the full authors note there. It brings a view into how these chapters are made, the dedication you have to this story, and the concern you have for the quality of the final product. It stands as a sign for us readers and fans of the story that you care. (And yes I did use an Oxford comma.)
