Something to think about is the fact that losing a father and having a mother retreat out of her life forced Katniss to grow up, mature, and ultimately brought out a really caring and nurturing side of her (especially noted by Prim) I can't wait to see what directions you take with this and how this story ultimately plays out.

Oh so both their dads are alive. Kind always thought if that happened katniss and gale wouldn't have had AS strong of a bond than not having them because their families weren't as dependent on them. Still surviving but not as life threatening starving you know. Guess same can be said about the bread moment with Peeta because it would probably be less likely to happen still could but just less because I think that's was a big connection between them. It'd be interesting how katniss begins her friendships with Both of them.

As for the reaping it'd interesting how you play that out it could go the same then diverge(mainly because she still got her whole family) or go with twist.

Anyway I'd like to see where this goes
