I rather like the rule reversal. Tony is almost more realistic in this version. I felt like the show almost pushed his class clown act too far. Maybe not almost honestly

I wasn't sure I would like this kind of role reversal story but I gave it a try and I couldn't let it go... So I read the whole story in one go. It's amazing how you managed to keep Tony and Gibbs true to their inner selves and, at the same time, had them fill in in different positions.
Tony as a leader is fantastic; he has lots of rules in his head that are quite the same as Gibbs but he is smoother (but not less efficient) in his way with people. He is very thoughtful and organized and perceptive. Gibbs is always loyal and respectful of the chain of command and a bit bossy nonetheless (we wouldn't expect anything less from him) and able to see and appreciate Tony's skills after close obsevation; he has to get a grip on his impulses sometimes to refrain from interfering with the boss' decisions (of course).
You write well how they slowly grow closer and learn to accept their differences.

Stan did pull a stupid move. Spotting the discrepancy was excellent. Even checking it out could have been excused BUT the interview was totally unacceptable.

That was bad of Stan. No backup and a probie.
