I love this, Block! I like how you did Alexander and Jean (love the idea of them being secret lovers, good idea) and Zul... your Zul is just brilliant! I also love your young Remus, him reading A Midsummer's Night Dream while lying prone on a hardwood floor and then him choosing to embrace his heightened senses to find his Hogwarts letter.
