I just read this story to my granddad and he and I LOVED it. This was extremely well-written, and his reactions were absolutely comedic to watch. If you make a sequal to the boxtrolls, or some other boxtrolls stories, let us know. this was beautiful, just like you and your writing. It's a shame that this movie was so underrated, and just so you know, no matter what anyone tells you that if they thought the movie sucked and was terrible, don't listen to them. those comments don't make you the writer that you are. YOU MAKE YOU.

All right, we're at the final chapter. And it was a perfect way to end it. Everything's back to where it's suppose to, Eggs and his dad are reunited and Herbert has some bittersweet memories, of poor dead Archie. All really good stuff. Overall, this was been a fantastic story. It great seeing your take, on the origins of Archibald Snatcher. It was a bit tragic, but never to the point of making him too sympathetic. There's enough of his greed and cruelty, to make him more of a believable and unique character. Great job on this one, and congrats on finishing one of your stories. Best of luck, with whichever ones you've planned next.

All right, here we go. The opening of the movie. Guess we're, getting close to the end huh? This should be depressing.… Really cool idea, to start with Archie making this iconic hat and coat. Sets the tone perfectly, that every bad thing is about to go down. And good work, on the scene after it with the Boxtrolls, finding out about the news. It was a very sweet scene, with the two friends both the big tragedy. We are also, finally introduced to Archie's henchmen. Unless they were all ready established, and I simply forgot. Feel free, to correct me on that. Anyway, it seems like in this story both Trout and Pickles are in a relationship. Interesting development there. Not sure if it was canon or not, but it does add a lot to their characters, in a positive way. Plus it helps, to kill two birds with one stone, as Archie can just hire both right there and then XD . Seriously though, it was really cool seeing Archie greeting his coworkers for the first time, as he manipulates them to his cause. Goes to show, just how civil and trustworthy a madman can be. Speaking of madmen, really interesting backstory you gave to Gristle. It was very believable, how he became so crazy after all that stuff, happening to him. And thus, we come to the final part of the puzzle. Poor, lonely Herbert. This was just painful to watching. Seeing a hopeful reunion of friends, turned into a heart wrenching betrayal. You feel bad for Herbert, during all of this. And of course, the trolls take Eggs and Archie has Herbert. And thus, the film begins. This was incredibly sad to read, but at the same time it was still great. I'm guess, you're going to start adapting the rest of the movie now, in which case I look forward to seeing what more twists, you add to this fanfic. Should be really great.

And just like TBTC, it's great to see this one make a comeback. Now let our feels, be tattered. Really great job, on the showing both characters, after the whole incident at the wedding. Trubshaw just wants to make amens with Archie, and he doesn't want to deal with any of this crap. It's pretty disheartening to see, just how far this friendship has fallen since the beginning. And of course, we finally get the big moment, that completely shatters Archibald's friendship with Trubshaw. And man, it was pretty damn disheartening. You honestly feel bad for Herbert, by the end of it. He just wanted to help his friend, see the matter of things and by the end of it, said friend has left him completely. And while I don't particularly feel bad for Archibald, hearing his friend betray him like this (at least from his perspective), must've been very hard on him as well. We also get the funeral of Archie's parents, along with his first true step into the Boxtroll hunting business. And with the unfortunate death Marjorie and the birth of their son, I dread what the next chapter might bring… This really good chapter. One filed with heartache and feels. I don't know what'll happen next…but I doubt it'll be pleasant.

All righty, incredibly late but let's read this. So we time skip a few years, to Snatcher's adulthood. Seems only fitting, since the last chapter was the perfect place to have one of those. As Herbert gets ready to marry his beloved, Archie's still try to move on from him. I'd feel bad for Archie…but I've seen the movie, so I'm really not. Still great job, showing his emotions towards the whole thing. And it seems Lord Portley's also getting married. On that same day as Herbert and Marjorie. How convenient. Although loved the revelation, that Portley only married her for her beauty and money, rather than her personality. That just explains, SO much! And of course, Archie doesn't even hesitate to ditch Herbert for Portley's wedding. Man, I feel bad for Herbert. Archie doesn't deserve, to have him as a friend. And we finally get the big debut, of Madame Frou Frou. And oh man, was it great. Ever since we got the crossdressing bit, I've been waiting for her to show up. And you certainly didn't disappoint. Now that she's here, things are going to get interesting. Great chapter. I look forward to seeing, what'll happen next.

And we're introduced, to Mrs. Trubshaw…and Archie all ready doesn't like her XD . But all kidding aside, I really like her so far. She's bright, shy, nice and very brilliant. I can defiantly see Eggs appearing, from her and Herbert. Although she'll also be the wrench, that completely fucks up Archibald and Herbert's relationship. Really great job, on portraying Archie's fall into anger and almost betrayal towards Herbert, as the latter keeps focusing more on Marjorie than him. While he's mostly just being jealous, you understand it and also feel pretty bad for the guy. After all these years together with his best bud, now a girl shows up and completely takes him from him. And to make matters worse, Frawley's dead. Archie's one step closer, to his inevitable fate. Wonder what'll happen from here…Really good chapter.

Really nice chapter. Once again, it was both incredibly sweet and yet extremely bittersweet watching more of Snatcher and Herbert's relationship grow. Hearing them talk about shoes, their sexual preference and Herbert coming up with the Fru Fru name, were definite highlights of the chapter. And we also get a bit of foreshadowing, to Eggs right there. Wonder if Herbert will either get married, or just adopt the kid. Either one, should be interesting. And Archie finally realises, his true feelings for Herbert.…this is gonna be interesting.

All right, shall we read this? So once again, it was nice seeing more of the Archie/Herbert friendship going on. Makes me feel bad, for what'll eventually happen between the two of them… Still nothing else, I did like the seeing the two of them grow, in their respective field of art, Archie writing & Herbert inventing. Nice work on the conversation about the hats. Snatcher doesn't seem to be AS obsessed with them yet, but he's still pining for one, while Herbert tries to convince him that he doesn't need one (which goes as well as expected). And it here, we're introduced to the Boxtrolls. Yeah, we all knew they were coming eventually, and this was a perfect moment to introduce them. Of course Herbert was friends with them even back then, and Archie's not quite sure what to make of it. And least not yet. But moving away from the dark future, we get Christmas. Interesting decision to include this scene here, as a pose to having it be it's own chapter, but then again it would be rather difficult making an entire christmas chapter, just centred around these two. That aside it was still incredibly sweet, seeing the two kids exchanging gifts. Too bad it's all gonna be ruined, in the foreseeable future…

All right, next chapter's up. Let's read. Okay, so we get the first time meeting of Archie and that old fuck Charles. And it's as pleasant as one might expect. Still really interesting interpretation, of making Archibald gay. A bit out there, but a really smart decision. It defiantly helps to make him more, of an outcast among the others thus fuelling his desire for a white hat. And we move from a less pleasant encounter, to a bit of a better one with Herbert Trubshaw. I really like their friendship so far. Snatcher's obviously a bit hesitant to trust this guy, given his bullying, but does seem to lighten up to the guy. And despite how this'll eventually end, they're interactions and scenes together were very sweet. I look forward, for you to tear them apart XD .

All right, we have a new fanfic it seems. One about the origins of Snatcher…UH I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS :D :D . Really great thinking with the fake out. Usually we open with the birth of our main characters, so the this a great bit of comedy and very unique from the other origins. Major kudos for that :) . That aside, it was incredibly fascinating, seeing you detail Archibald's early life. I can defiantly see him, being ridiculed and mocked in his youth and making him the son of a tailor was a great way, to explain his skill as a clothes maker. Plus seeing his obsession for the white hat begin, with his father's desire for one was a nice touch. Plus I loved, seeing you include the pet rat. I believe it was, in the original draft of the film (I might be incredibly wrong on that), so it was nice seeing you include it here. And we end, with the beginning of Archie's cross-dressing…something his father doesn't approve of…uh this should be interesting. Really good start so far. I look forward to seeing, where this goes.
