WDZorroFan chapter 5 . 7/17/2018
I only now found the crossover section on this site. Very enjoyable story. It feels like a lost episode of the show and those are always the best types of stories! I am sad to learn this is the only Zorro story you've written.
IcyWaters chapter 5 . 10/10/2016
Wonderful story! I admit to being a little surprised (and disappointed) to learn this was the final chapter, but it was the perfect finish to a fun adventure. The pacing was very episode-like. I admire how you took the understated route during Anita's next meeting with Diego. No big to-do or showy reveal, just a sweet moment between them that spoke volumes. Bravo!

Please tell me this won't be your only Zorro adventure. :-)
IcyWaters chapter 4 . 9/30/2016
Lots of great moments in this chapter! I liked Diego's inner struggle. As much as he wanted to ride as Zorro right away, he understood a coordinated search effort by the men of the pueblo during daylight hours gave Josefina better odds. It's good to see others in the pueblo take action instead of relying on the fox for everything.

Loved the action. The fight sequence was exciting and intense. Color me surprised that Zorro killed the bandido so readily, but he didn't have much choice. Zorro in a knife fight is different from what I'm used to. Keeps things fresh and interesting. I am curious if Josefina got a good look at his face in the dark.

Hehe, leave it to a bunch of boastful caballeros to try their swords again Zorro. Sigh, Don Alejandro must stop looking so proud at Zorro's antics. ;-)
IcyWaters chapter 3 . 9/25/2016
Wow, you know how to capture the suspense. My heart was pounding as much as Josefina's was. The bandidos have shown they won't hesitate to kill, but I've been wondering how they would react to learning they have a child in their midst. After all, she doesn't know who they are and killing a child is far different than killing a man, but that last line answered my question:

"Now she was a liability."—So simple, yet so chilling. Come on, Zorro, hurry it up!
IcyWaters chapter 2 . 9/18/2016
Whew. I'm glad Josefina's father is safe. It's nice to see Diego not wasting time and following the trail before it vanishes. But now it's time for Zorro to ride. :-)

Great setup. I'm looking forward to how it plays out.
IcyWaters chapter 1 . 9/18/2016
I admit upfront that I have zero knowledge of "American Girl," but that didn't detract from my enjoyment of your opening chapter. Being thrown into a robbery is a guaranteed way to snare my attention! I sympathized with Josefina trying to will her heart to be silent. I can't begin to imagine her fear for her father. Did the bandidos shoot him?
