I do like that bit about him having a lion's heart! A lion's heart indeed. And this fuel was certainly different from the movie, but it was nicely adapted. Shenzi still killed him, Scar still fell, Simba still won... nice job. But what's happened to the hyenas now?...

Anyhow, I'm here now! And it's a very nice story so far :) you do a very nice job of adapting the film to a more human touch... and add enough fresh spins to make it worth reading. So nice job! :)

And thats Simba in a nutshell. Insecure and reluctant about stepping forward to challenge Scar, but doing it anyway because he cant bear knowing about others suffering. I like that in him.
On a side note, I wonder if you can tell us how long your story is going to be... Is there an end in sight or (hopefully) an abundance of new chapters waiting to be posted?

Well, I hope therell be room for those two back with the Royals. I can imagine it would be difficult for Simba to implement that change without being challenged at every turn by conservatists etc. etc.
