Dear lord, glad that never happened. It's scary to think that Bill could've killed Dipper had Mabel gave him the Journal.

That was beautifully written and wonderfully faithful to every character involved. Just brilliant.

What an angsty story. At first I thought it was real and I was thinking, wow, Gabe is a total butthead. Well, I mean he is anyway, but even more in that scene where he brushed off that Mabel's brother died in front of her.

The details of Dipper's death were so graphic. The whole bit of Bipper putting the rope around his head does sound like a move Bill would actually make. That makes me wonder if the nightmare was caused by Bill, or if it was just based on guilt and recent events.

The comforting ending is sweet. This is a good what-if scenario. Good story.

You tell some of the best GF stories on this site! One of my favorite episodes after all is Sock Opera, and what would have happened if it went terribly wrong for Dipper and/or Mabel.

Mabes imagines Bipper (aka possessed Dipper) destroying the journal and then offing Dip in the process, then while Mabel is crying over her bro-bro Gabe (who Bill is possessing now) attacks Mabel as well. But it turns out to be a dream, and Dip is there to console her and tells her that it was OK because Mabel came through for him in the end.

There are so many angsty fics based on this episode, largely where Dipper is concerned, but this story (the nightmare sequence notwithstanding) was really sweet. I am a sucker for Dipper/Mabel fluff.

Anyway, great work as always.

As creepy as this will sound, thank you! I can't find ANY fics like this that aren't Pinecest, which is just bad in my opinion. So thank you for being daring and killing one of the twins.

Good story overall, I'm impressed.
