I see credit to DOS for shikako and you saying you're not a theif but you don't give credit to boomvroomshroom for using the motivated Nara quote. You should fix that. If it's not something you came up with in your own words then you need to give credit where credit is due.

Not enough development with Hinata. It's not just a case of being shy, it's her self worth being constantly in question that makes her unable to believe in herself. Would prefer some development of her character before we see the stuttering come to a halt.

more than a few but less than a lot of mistakes present in this chapter (most commonly the use of than instead of then). Probably all of those mistakes could be fixed if the chapter was proof read before posted (This is guess work, I'm guessing you didn't read it over before you posted, if you did then I recommend finding a beta or having someone else proof read it). So far it's pretty good, I like her personality etc and the idea of a genderbent shika.

Nara clan as an intelligent clan excels in Yin Release which is used in their Shadow based techniques, while the Akimichi is more of a physical based clan revolving around the use of Yang Release. According to Canon, if I'm right. Which is could also be seen by the fact that they're (the Nara) lazy physically and amazing mentally and also using shadow, an element closer to Yin. The technicality irks me in this chapter...

There are literally thousands of stories where someone shoves a idealized version of themselves into this series, make "changes", and then hump the stations of canon. It's boring as fuck. Russian Roulette by Vixen Tail and Walk on the Moon by SixPerfections are examples of how to write an engaging story in that genre. It boils down to telling your own story within the framework of the fiction you're writing in. Fleshing out the world a bit, as it were. There's plenty of nonsense in canon that was completely glossed over that's just begging to be explained.

I've always been a fan of a more rational take on shonen anime, since it addresses all the various flaws indicative of the genre. Static characters, power creep, and plot holes the size of minivans fucking everywhere. Managing that without slipping into grimderp territory is a feat, but I've seen it happen. Anyways, good luck writing your story! Ignore all my rambley bullshit if you don't like it or don't agree with it. I was just scrolling through newly published works and saw the word "Insert" in the description and read your story.

Yeah, I liked it a lot Shibashi - however, it did not keep me interested enough to read in one sitting, which was a total loss on my end. The ending was great however, and i'm excited to read the next chapter. Just not as much as chapter 5.

so given all that the use of shikako is perfectly reasonable and not stealing from DOS

good story so far but i would like to point out that shikamaru means deer boy much the same as orochimaru means snake boy or konohamaru means leaf boy.
maru is only added to boys names, ko is added to girl names. so the feminine of shikamaru is shikako

I don't think that shikamaru-chan would actually need to tell on her reincarnation. That's just asking for unnecessary problems.
Anyways! I really love this story! I don't think there's any other SI-Fem!Shikamaru. It's unique and fresh!

I'm actually impressed with the way you shuffled the teams. After reading more fanfiction than I probably should, its nice when a writer has the grit to go beyond canon. Not that I don't enjoy Kishimoto's version of Naruto but there's only so many times I can read a story that perfectly follows his plot , yet, somehow doesn't do it justice at the same time. Plus, I actually enjoy not knowing how a story will turn out (which is why I avoid canon worshiping stories like the plague.) Anyway I'm loving the story and am looking forward to more in future.
