I'm emotionally completey overwhelmed. I love fic where Killian is being take care of, he so much deserve it, and this one was everything, so beautiful and quiet and each words break my heart and heal it at the same time. How Killian is so grateful for Emma without her armor with him but still being careful and having difficulty to accept his new place. "This place is as much yours to make a mess in as it is mine", I can totally see that happen and it makes me sad and happy at the same time.
And then how Killian hesitates and slowly accepts that Emma wants to take care of him and him removing his armor too. It's all so gentle and "in his too long life, he has never been touched so tenderly", I just want to hug you for such an emotional and gorgeous piece!

The first thing I do when I get a cramp in my hand is use the thumb and knuckles of my other hand to work it out, but he's never been able to do that for himself, never had anyone to do it for him ... And like you said one hand is doing the work for two so he really needs to take care of it if he develops arthritis or anything else that would impair mobility he's screwed. This story really broke my heart for him ... but now he has someone :)
