I'm excited to read your story, and even more after reading this prologue as it is so well written, leaving the reader *wanting* to know what happened to her cousin and why the pull of New Orleans is so prevalent to her! Amazing start!

I just love the interaction between Rachel and Elijah. Very nicely written.

Beautiful chapter. Flowing so smoothly, such vivid scenes. Rachel is becoming more and more intriguing. I do like how her thoughts are revealed, her subtly manipulating the police officer. The conversation between Margaret and Elijah is simply perfect.

That was definitely quick... soulmates. Intriguing, especially when one considers a thousands-year-old Original. Very much so.

Very interesting. Lovely prose, I like the minimalistic approach - it's just descriptive enough and to the point. I confess I haven't watched The Originals, but Elijah intrigued me from the first moment he appeared in The Vampire Diaries. I like your portrayal of him, it feels nicely canonical. And what he shared with Rachel is so vividly illustrated, so visceral. I like the mystery surrounding the Missing Seventeen, too. On to read more.
