This is really cute, but I feel I should give you more credit than just that. It's not only quite adorable-but believable, which I think is more important. What I really like about this is the language and style: in the first part, the narration is totally spot-on for a little girl. It captures her nerve-racking excitement, her confusion and her pride in a way perfectly redolent of all our little accomplishments as children, life-changing or inconsequential. In the second part, the language has changed, like the character, but it still sounds like Zelda-both the themes and the narrative voice still carry the echoes of the frightened/brave girl she had been on the day of the loftwing ceremony. So good job with the language, the circularity, and even the brevity-the story wasted no words and kept me engaged for the duration. Keep up the good work!
