Reviews for Remnant's Grey Knight
Guest chapter 3 . 6/30
I do take issue with the threating everyone with death because they have not heard of the emperor the empire is surprisingly lenient on worlds that have not heard of the emperor and will quite gleefully teach the ignorant of the glory that is the empire of man it is only when they have known better that the threats and burning come out the imperiam can be surprisingly comptant in intergrating new planits and peaples into the fould over the centuries as they slowly direct the local culture and religion to venerate the emperor as the centerpiece of what ever they worship like making some feral tribesmen sun god to be the emperor after a few generations of preaching the fact of the matter is the Julies or gray knight would only made threats ofter they had been informed even then he would be far more tolerant of questions and disbelief but not direct insults to hos liege lord the emperor

Mastermind4892 chapter 7 . 5/14
Looks like Ren's father is back! I expect he would have a more favorable reaction to his son than Julius does to an old girlfriend.

I didn't believe the Archmagos knew it Ozpin's true origins of the powers of the Relics. There's no way Oz would write that down anywhere. And forget delivering those Relics to Salem's hands! I have no doubt Poledinna and Julius will do far better than most if they stormed Salem's lands, but if she really is corrupted by Chaos, then she's more dangerous than ever. And given her preference for cunning and dark sorcery, she's probably a follower of Tzeentch. (Can we really blame Ozpin for getting outmaneuvered by a disciple of the Dark God of schemes who already confounds the Inquisiton?) Not to mention her immortality. And worst of all, gathering the Relics will only summon the Brother gods to Remnant, which will room the planet since the world is still far from united. And that's assuming that the Brothers are still as Ozma and Salem remember them, and that the Relics do not summon Chaos instead. Either way, Ozpin is right: If Poledinna gathers the Relics, then Remnant is doomed.

I have to say, Poledinna may be a genius... but an idiotic one. I thought Tech-Priests are supposed to be the most rational and pragmatic members of the Imperium. To research and investigate anything relating to their goals until there is nothing else left to learn. And so instead of reasoning with the man he knows is in charge of these Relics and is most familiar with the thinking and tactics of the enemy, he instead burns bridges with him and launches a crusade against a demonic witch he knows little about and to make use of dangerous relics he knows even less about? A crusade that acts on the intel gathered from a man he already believes to be flawed?

Poledinna is choosing to commit to the path of ignorance, and that is a sin against the Omnissiah. It is borderline heresy.
IMxTHExMANIAC chapter 7 . 5/11
Make Ruby an Adepta Sororita. Or Pyrrha.

That would be cool as fuck, seeing Ruby in power armor with a giant scythed wreathes in a power-field.

Yes.
IMxTHExMANIAC chapter 7 . 5/11
The only reason I figured out that the new Space Marine was a Salamander was the description of his armor, his demeanor, and his shield.

Good job :P

First of all, this story is a really good one. I really like it. Secondly, I would like to see a mini-series of the omake you put in this chapter, maybe even a spin-off? Just my suggestion. Lastly, you are a really special person to have brought all your stories to life.
dragondroid100 chapter 7 . 4/29

GrumpyGrue chapter 7 . 4/13
This story kicks heretic ass. The warning and recommend action on subject 06 are perfection. Or purrfection. Terrible pun.

Blake is a small bit right...for once. About not fucking around with Julius. But she's wrong about him not having a concept of selflessness. Dumb heretic sees only what she wants to, just like how she blinded herself with the White Fang.

Pot meet kettle. Define monster, Blake? At least Julius has a good excuse to not change from his improved self, while Blake is always a duplicitous, perfidious shadow, who deserves to be forever haunted by her atrocities, as she will never atone.

She won't find faults in evil, witholding condemnation of White Fang whenever possible to save her own skin. The White Fang, who Blake still sees as useful minions to grant her luxuries she never deserved.

And she selectively forgets her own faults. Blake embodies the worst aspects of cats. She's a scummy hypocrite. A "friend" that stabs you in the back, and can't be relied on. Continues paying lip service to all groups she betrays after leaving them! Ruby and Yang were fools to accept her back. Weiss is just along for the ride, though the time Blake ran off to Menagerie, I would have expected Weiss to raise a bigger stink despite Blake being Yang's partner. Weiss changed, learned to be more easygoing and trusting. Despite having valid reasons to not trust in Ruby's leadership, among other things.

Julius is made of sterner stuff, and that's what I like about him. Dumb school kids pretend they're the center of the universe and that nobody can understand what they're going through. Pyrrha gets a pass for saying dumb things as of late to Ozpin, her team, to Julius, even if the initial fight in the forest and seeing his uncharacteristic behavior should have tipped her off to be more cautious around Jaune. Opening old wounds and violent treatment from a former friend does that.

I usually think Ozpin is a manipulative asshole and his plans are retarded, but here he's supremely wise, empathetic, and well meaning. I stuck with this line of thinking, until he wouldn't let Julius go for another week despite barring Julius from teaching, thus burning the bridge anyways. Ozpin probably delayed for reasons apart from punishing Julius (throwing annoying teens at him), but it was still pointless as he could've paid a prorated rate as a stipulation of Julius's transfer contract happening earlier. Ozpin is a petty, smug, and manipulative bastard. Good on Polendina for his power move.

These kids are shits though. Especially Blake. She always has been. She'll throw a pity party for herself, saying shit about how Adam would take away all she loves to spite her. She's a spiteful kitty herself.

Blake would have gone through with stealing the dust on the train if Adam didn't slap Blake for her treasonous bullshit. How many people would that hurt in the kingdoms, to lose that dust to the worst sorts of people? The Schnee are still going after new dust deposits going by a recent line in this fanfic, so humanity still needs the stuff, but because of Blake doing heists, it's going to a group that hurts humans, because Blake buys into the discrimination crap that nobody seems to express.

Except Julius, but his resentment looks more along the lines of not putting up with Blake's idea of division. If faunus protected humanity, they would be abhuman, but tolerable. Not xenos that would get spat upon and smited. But they're on thin ice, seeing as they'd rather cry, protest, leech, and play race politics. Prime example being Blake.

Ruby is fine with wasting Jaune's time reminding him of his old self who lacks purpose and discipline, so here's to hoping her worldview is shattered deliciously. She will inevitably fail. Can't handle reality, so deluding herself until everyone gets tired of Ruby's shit looks like the plan.

Yang is pissing me off by prolonging Ruby's distorted, naive views up to even this age of Ruby's life. Granted they lack a mother figure, but the plan will just crash and burn. And then who'll Yang blame? Julius, unfairly of course. Because how dare Julius expect others to respect his own decisions? Where he gets work done like nobody else does? That's sarcasm.

It's great that Julius isn't much for frivolties. He's here because he has a sacred task. One that rises beyond ephemeral bonds that he no longer sees meaning in. He avoided giving his name out for this very reason! His views on friendship changed. It would still be secondary to mankind's survival, and elimination of Chaos.

Ozpin dropped all kinds of hints about that to the stupid kids. Julius said these things himself to more than one of them, especially that dumb cat Blake. But they still expect Julius to be Jaune, not someone else, because they're bringing up the past and then lambasting him when he doesn't meet their expectations.

So all these kids who insult him with or without intending to, confronting him to say "you can be better!" Bitch, no he can't! He's already at the pinnacle of good! Julius doesn't need to be human, his transplants and conditioning change him to make this not worth pretending he is like everybody else.
GrumpyGrue chapter 6 . 4/13
Even mere crumbs of the Imperium can accomplish what the combined might of huntsmen couldn't since the dawn of Remnant's civilizations. Toss in these high level Imperium heroes, and it's the best kind of overkill.

Sod off Team NPR and RWBY! Being the Mystery Crew won't fix your suck! Only Weiss, Nora, Ren, and Pyrrha are not hateable or flawed in ways that make professionals want to slap them until problem is solved. But sooner they accept Julius being better version and only sort of Jaune, the less they'll angst and bitch.
GrumpyGrue chapter 5 . 4/13
Glynda Coddlebitch is nearly always PMSing. Even with her good looks, you can tell she doesn't get any action with that attitude. Might be why she's extra bitchy, and carries a riding crop. It being a kind of outlet.

Shut down Pyrrha! Good loyalty to humanity Julius.

Ruby didn't get her Smeagol One Ring precious Crescent Rose broken to teach a lesson. Too bad.

KYS Blake. Do it!
GrumpyGrue chapter 4 . 4/13
I admit I saw clips of season 4. Wouldn't watch whole episodes. Blake wouldn't get comeuppance, called out on bitchiness, lies or idiocy enough; not satisfying.

This chapter was though. A first year team doing better than other years gets my goat, but at least Blake got shat on.

It's missing the cherry on top where her crimes are publicly revealed. Train heist, former white fang, speaking treasonously to cause divisions and rabble rouse in Menagerie, then having the audacity to return to Beacon? Defending violent terrorists who caused The Breach, fed innocents to Grimm, chopped off Yang's arm, and she DARES defend those sickos?

For what, not providing more GIBS to faunus? As if quality real estate like menagerie wasn't enough? Or Schnee bending over backwards to diversity hire White Fang members who still want to kill his family to snatch wealth and success? Especially since Schnee are human, and don't condone the White Fang strong arming and terrorism?

Fuck these ignorant Beacon students clapping at Blake's canned response without thinking. They'll clap even when their mortal enemies are leading them to their doom, slaughtering those they're duty-bound to protect.
GrumpyGrue chapter 3 . 4/13
Nice. Wonder if Julius will feel cooped up and not doing enough as a teacher, or if he can wreck Ozpin's and Ironwood's machinations.

Blake the whiny cunt did nothing to earn Yang's forgiveness, and Yang failed as a friend to the remaining loyal team, by pardoning shitty kitty. Yang is a weak-willed enabler of further betrayal and selfishness from Blake.

Where is the show's racism against faunus? It hardly exists, and is far from the level Blake screeches about constantly. She's a deluded defender of terrorists. If anyone has been treating faunus like shit without good reason, including physical violence, it's Blake towards Sun Wukong, especially when she abandoned team RWBY yet again. Cardin is an angel compared to Blake.

Won't heed that author's note. Season 3 is my limit. Not watching beyond to 4 or after. Not worth it IMO.

Here, name of video with some guy's commentary. I know what he means. A big portion of the middle part of the video is just him killing game zombies while speaking, but the start and end have some images. Fans create far better than the official RWBY shoveled to viewers these days.
