Love this story, especially this chapter!

I know I beta'ed this, but I've been meaning to leave a review here nevertheless. I would say things are heating up... except they're not, at least not compared to the bulk of this fic! ;) Apart from the sizzling and crackling between our fave Southern pair, I'm intrigued by how Bastion is going to fit into all this. You kinda dropped that in there unexpectedly at the end, and just as I was thinking this was just gonna be smut x infinity. LOL. Not that I'm complaining. Not much anyway. I'm just intrigued as to how this is all leading, and where it's going to all end up. And I'm just going to say again how much I ADORE how you write Remy's voice. Sooo sexy! Love it, and can't wait for more! :) x

I love your Gambit. Yes, he is sleazy, slick and dirty but he is one of the good guys and doesn't hold back on getting and giving pleasure. And your Rogue is no Mary Sue and Saint, kudos on that, with that spite she has, she is in for such a rollercoaster ride with Gambit!

I am really curious how the whole showdown with Sarah and Emma will play out. Seeing how pissed and feisty is Rogue with him, how will she react when she finds out about his role in the Morlocks massacre? And Mystique! And royal bitch Emma!

Plot thickens as you promised. I am really curious what comes next for our duo!

Whaaaaat?! You can't leave it there! Ugh! Seriously! What's gonna happen?! She gonna kiss him?! Punch him?! Accidentally absorb him!? Get caught out by an unexpected Sentinel attack?! Any and all possibilities are screaming through my head right now! This is a major cliffhanger - like, the biggest you've pulled so far! It makes me wish I'd started this a little later shop that I can read the next chapter! Heh. Needless to say I'm LOVING this stop far and I just can't wait to read what happens next! 8D

Haaaa, I was wondering what Emma's grand betrayal was going to be, and of course you laid the motivation down a couple of chapters ago with Remy settling her out to escape Stryker. So get revenge is the worst kind - getting his one saving grace, the one kid he saved, to come and kill him. NIIIIICE! She knows just what will hurt him the most - she ain't the queen bitch for nothing!

Oh man - no sex, but the fight scene between Remy and Anna was so damn hot! There's nothing I love more than reading a good bout of them going at each other... (pun kind of intended) and this chapter had it all. The banter, the head-smashing, and the unabashed sexiness. I love how Anna pretty much surprised him and I love how she basically held her own, finally going for where she knew it would hurt him most. And awww, lookit! Remy was so much in earnest, he forgot to work his charm! Poor baby. He's in so deep! (I swear I'm not intentionally writing these innuendoes, they're writing themselves... )

Lol, Storm is really channelling some of her under Emma there. That cracked me up some. At least they're thinking in tune about something. I forgot to say last chapter that I liked Emma's thoughts on Storm vs Scott - it's always cool to read about other characters from a secondary character's POV when it's written in an interesting convincing way. Storm's got it right, btw - the way Romy are already invested in one another. When you're in the thick of those emotions sometimes it can be hard to see the wood for the trees- everyone else seems to know what's going on way before those nerds do. Sigh. Well. I'm thinking I might just finish this tonight. What the hell. Only 2 more chapters left to go! Woot!

Hahahaha, the way the focal reveal went done was just perfectly timed, and I actually did NOT see it coming. I figured it'd be in the next chapter, so SURPRISE! Remy's 'damned if you do...' attitude is just perfection.

I must say you write a MEAN fight scene. And the pitter patter of both Remy and Bobby's dialogue during it was thoroughly on point. Storm's actions show just how real this shit just got. Short though that sequence was, the moral tension in it really packed a punch.

I'm suuuper psyched now to see what happens between Remy and Anna next. And how steamy their makeup turns out to be. Hehe.

Yay! Phone is working again, so I'm getting a fun commute home! I like how you sliced up the chapter between smut and plot, because doing without the smut period would've made people cry, I'm sure. ;) Also, I've been meaning to say, but keep forgetting, that you are soooo good with their accents, and being a Southerner yourself, now I get it. I find it hard, y'know... Being a Brit and all. ;)

So, I am really getting tingly Spidey-senses over Emma. Villain!Emma (as you put it) is one of my fave things (or was). I miss her. And I love fics that make her morally dubious. Looking forward to seeing if she ends up betraying them, or not, or something in between. Cos she seemed suspiciously gleeful when those mutants were getting attacked (although that may just be the sadistic steak in her).

Also - Bastion-type Sentinels! I like how you bring 616 into the MCU. I'm not a fan of the MCU at all (the last MCU film I properly watched was X3 - I was done after that). You merge the two seamlessly however, and make a very nice 'in-between'.

Lastly - the sex was hot hot hot... But Remy is a dumbass. In an adorable kind of way. You just wanna kinda slap him upside the head. I'm pretty sure Anna does too at this point in time. I'm sure I'll enjoy reading him lying in the bed he's made for himself. Hur hur hur. Sigh. Ok, onwards!

Ummm... Ahem. Yeah, I'm starting to question whether it's advisable to read this in public places, cos you know... But hell, it's getting me through the working day right now. So eff it, frankly.

It's great to read Anna's POV this chapter, to see things from her own emotional standpoint. Her reasons for loving touch... I buy it. It seems like a paradox... but as someone once said: "touching isn't holding". She is living proof of that. It's amusing how they're breaking down one another's walls, as well as preconceptions of what being with someone/emotionally involved should be. In a way it's almost as if this is the first time either of them are learning to be emotionally involved with another, and it's interesting to see them take that learning journey together.

And I almost forgot to comment that I LOVE Anna getting turned on by Remy being vocal. Vocal men are HAWT. Yes, Remy is vocal. I'm sorry. That is canon.

Um, so, yeah. Great chapter, and I really enjoyed Anna's voice. I hope we'll get to hear it again. :D
