How long I have waited for an update. Don't know what to say about this chapter... except GOOD JOB, AUTHOR-san. Stay healthy and I'm waiting for the next chapters

But to see the changes and how things are progressing, with Azami now fully in the picture plus Alain's rather...twisted interpretation of sociel interaction. Looking forward to more.

I’m really looking forward to new chapters and I’m really glad your still continuing after years, this story is truly great and it is kind of an emotional rollercoaster. My one critique is that Soma doesn’t feel like much of a character. I like Kyou’s character and I like how the story focuses on him as he is the OC, but Soma was such an important figure at Tōtsuki that it feels like he’s being left behind. We didnt get to see what happened at the Autumn Election finals, we didn’t get to see how Kyou reacted to Soma beating Kuga at the moon banquet, and it feels like Erina has no relationship with Soma(I’m not talking about their romantic-ish relationship), which is completely untrue. I understand that a big part of Soma’s relationship with Erina was due to her father but that was definitely not the only reason. The Erina we see acts like Soma doesn’t exist when he was the first person to pull emotions out of her(even before Kyou in the timeline, I’m assuming yours in matched with canon until Azami comes along). Soma is the first person to know about both Erina and Kyous past, aside from Senzaemon and Azami himself, and he needs to be part of the story as such. I think that when creating an OC and trying to fit them in the world can lead to tunnel visioning the OC instead of the main point which is to tie them to the already made world, not tie the world to them. Sorry for the long read but I really want to give my 2 cents and help make this story as good as it can be. Of course soma is not the only one I’d like to see more of but he’s definitely up there. I know it’s moving out of canon but that doesn’t mean move out of character. I don’t think Kyou can have the same type of relationship with Erina as Soma has in canon, not just because of the trauma they had but the reason Soma was able to change Erina was because of his personality, his inability to even recognize her authority most of the time and caring more for fun and learning than being perfect and at the top, this is not what Kyou is in general. Kyou is much more reserved and observant than Soma and only gets “fun” when he is around Soma, which I think is more of Soma’s personality breeding onto him rather than that being his normal self. I understand what he was when has young but a decade of coping with trauma can’t go away that fast. I really like how we are seeing Kyous detective side and I think it adds a lot to his character. I still want to see more of the other characters be more involved in the plot. I do like you taking the liberty to make Azami a much worse villain than we saw in canon, although I’m not sure if his backstory will be the same(Mana). Also I just wanted to say that a romantic relationship between Kyou and Erina doesn’t make much sense and I don’t think that’s where you’ll take the story but I just wanted to say that. Anyway thanks for updating and I really look forward to chapters! Also don’t stress yourself out on writing, it should be fun! Quality over quantity, and stay safe.(extra sorry for the long ass read, I actually do want to do what I can to improve your writing)
