amazing job
sorrellkaren chapter 1 . 3/12/2017
As someone with a quick temper I can relate to Athos need for revenge the instant he saw his friends. I even understand how the heat of rage could effect a man in his position. When all was sorted and they asked why I was surprised he did not elaborate a little more. It was the heat of revenge that fueled him but later he learned it was also the love he held that made him not even pause in the killing of the enemy. Athos loves deep and feels even deeper. This kind of passion has been transferred from his love for his wife to the love of his brothers. As he once loved her he has found he loves them only in a different way. A more important way, like family. He trusts them in a way he never could trust her again and in my opinion that love for them is what enabled him to heal enough and trust enough to allow himself the joy of loving Sylvie. The joy of having a life with her and their child.

Hi
I love you stories, they are amazing!
Please might some more. Maybe your next one could be an argument between d' Artagnan and the others.
Thank you Maia

Lilac Lavender chapter 1 . 8/15/2016
Sooooo good! It was so nice to get this slice of your writing, full of what you do so very well- getting into the head of one of our boys as they reel from whatever you've conjured up to throw at them, especially Athos who I know is a favorite subject of yours for psychological exploration, much to my gratification! Athos looking at his brothers lying there, death having claimed them-his family, his thoughts as he takes in the sight of each of them one by one in their positions, was devastating and tender all at once. That they were actually under the effects of a sleeping draught was great reveal- I love whenever sleeping draughts are used in Muskeeter fics and when it serves such a dramatic purpose all the better! :D The way you described Aramis, d'Art and Porthos' concern for Athos was so pitch perfect for each of them! I really like how this felt like picking up from where we left off in "Honor and Glory", the echo of Athos' turmoil at having failed his brothers and losing them, also the haze of violence followed by pleas to come back to them, like with d'Art at the end of the previous story. You know I was thrilled to receive another fic from you and I thank you!

Wonderful. You scared me! But I gelt sth odd. I thought Athos had a nigthmare or act in alcoholic delirium. You've surprised me witl sleeping draught! Well done!
I loved anguished Aramis!
GoGirl212 chapter 1 . 8/15/2016
great story! Nice twist on the theme and within the plot. Athos can be so heartbreaking when the emotional walls get broken. Terrific entry for the contest :) thanks for sharing this.

Hi ! What a great story (again ;-)
I really liked how you described Athos's feelings while fighting and believing his friends are dead, before realizing he saved them all !
Very original use of the word Heat as it stand out from the usual meaning !
