You've done an excellent job channeling Rory's fear of being rudderless without a partner. Her train of thought is very understandable here, especially her avoidance of fully processing the kiss with Jess. I never would have thought to draw a connection back to Lorelai leaving Max, but it makes perfect sense!

I can see why she feels guilty, but not to the extent she should be feeling it. All those thoughts? Normal. At least to me. But it still wasn't her fault. She didn't make Logan jump. Logan is a grown ass man who is bright enough to make his own decisions. If Rory was the one hurt, would she have blamed Logan? Probably not. Good luck dealing with those feelings Rory. And staying with someone due to guilt...that's just dean 2.0 right there. You shouldn't have to talk your self up or down to be with someone. It really isn't that complicated.

This is a great, affecting analysis of Rory's mindset (like your others!) - that she's blaming herself, that she might never tell anyone what happened at Truncheon, that she's human - accepting she did mean to hurt Logan a little, contemplating a night-flit. The it's all very believable and flawed and real and heartbreaking. Thanks for sharing it.
