Ohhhh man.
Grew up with cats all my life, barn cats first. There was my big boy Mittens who was the only pneumonia survivor we ever had. He ruled the farm, tough as old boots but he could be so sweet. He disappeared one fall, was gone all winter, which happened a lot with barn cats, and they never came back. But I just couldn't believe Mittens would die, he was too strong. I can just remember the spring day when he came home, a little older, a little more tattered, but my Mittens all the same. Now I miss him... :'(

Every once in a while, I wonder how Winter Fury is doing. Hopefully learning to stay home and not giving his owner too many heart attacks! But we all know, home is where the heart is - not a location, but a place where they understand you. And they always know who chose them!

This is so adorable oh my god! This made me smile so hard. I absolutely love how Winter actually turns out to be Steve's lost cat, Bucky. Even after all those years, they still managed to find a way to reunite.

I've become a very lax reviewer (and writer) over the years, and I've actually read and enjoyed many of your stories. But this one really hit me close to home. I actually got a little teary-eyed at the end. I love, and have always had, cats in my life (one of which that we did lose during a move when he ran off) and the thought of all the hardships that poor thing must have gone through in those 9 years before their reunion is heartbreaking. I'm glad that it was a happy ending for these two, and I hope the real life cat that inspired this fic found his happy ending as well. You are a wonderful author, so keep writing!
