I have a couple questions...
Is she giving up being a detective? What happened with the black organization? Why does she want a fresh start. And I realize that her moving away is for plot convenience but the Kudou family is rich as hell, I don't think money would be much of an issue.

Maybe have some DC Movies (preferably the ones that include KID XD), and since Shinichi is back to normal, it’d obviously stray a little from canon, but it could work.

Idk, just a thought (with the upcoming DC movie though, it’d be great if you actually followed through with this idea)

First off, I'd like to say that this is one of the best DC stories I've read in a long time. It's absolutely brilliant, and I'm looking forward to the sequel.

A few ideas for you:
1) Sonoko or Ran walking in on Shinichi making out with Kaito

2)Haibara threatening Kaito (don't you dare hurt her, or else)

3) Everyone reacting to Shinichi and Kaito becoming 'official'

Dear "person who typed this note inside the booth of a coffe shop" (I began to type this when there was that closing of the message XD),
you can't imagine how happy I was when reading that there will be a sequel to the former story. I love your way of writing Shinichis enveloped character, because in my opinion this kind of broken and kinda "fallen down to earth" Shinichi would be the normal consequence of the events happening in the manga.
Maybe in the other story it would be interesting to start shortly before the black organisation is going to be brought down by Shinichi and the legal forces involved. And to get to read about the consequences for our favorite sleuth becoming normal, dealing with Ran and the life of a teen.
The problem is, that a meeting between Shinichi and Kaito has to occour... Maybe they are both part of a case or something like that.

Another idea would be, that after becoming normal Shinichi would try to not participate in homicide cases again, up until a certain thief is the main suspect of a murder and consults the young detective.

I'm really looking forward to reading your next stories.

Do one based on The Lake house.
Or where if Shinichi and Kaito are in the same room they will die because they are allergic to each other.
Or Kaito gets the wrong valentines card and thinks it is from Hakuba and start dating because he fell in love with what he read, leaving a very hurt Shinichi.
When Kaito is touched he turns into a dove but when Shinichi touches him he does not turn.
Kaito and Shinichi are separated twins and unknowing meet and fall in love with each other.
