it's a very good chapter and well writen, but after waiting that long it lacks a bit for the excitement it gave
hope you will continue the story and everything stays well

Nice story so next we see ben and co. fight adwaita and gwen and co. find the books and start training. But will gwen and co. find out about ben soon? How else would the door open?

Great story so far., I do like how ben changes his views on the world, as an event like this would.

I just think he gave in a little bit too easily or too much.
I would've personally liked to see him argue more, that there could be another way to handle that mugger or something.

Also I'd like to see more development for hope. She now seems very one dimensional.

A argument between the two views with them both moving towards one another's views would have been interesting.

I'm excited to see what's next in the story. Keep it up

That line is not corny, I love it. I personally was expecting a line about how the kiss gave him hope. Noticed in the prior chapter that Ben was able to get her name from kissing her, which is pretty brilliant.
