2inchfish chapter 1 . 8/1/2018 I can him walking around the tree. Talking out loud. I wonder how many driads were eavesdropping politely... Just a note to say thanks. |
marmota-b chapter 1 . 11/22/2017 Reepicheep, I think, knows a thing or two about fighting a foe much larger than yourself. :-) Perfect ending to this! |
2inchfish chapter 1 . 2/7/2017 "He does not measure worth by inches. " Reepicheep got what Caspian was referring to right away. The uncertainty. The doubt. Cause they're *giants.* Reep has probably mentored a few young mouselings in his lifetime, and Caspian is not much different then them. Love the story, and how you tied everything together. C.S.L. was sort of content to let us guess at some of these wars, just mentioning them offhand. Well, he had to be to focus on the main points of the story he was telling there and then. didnn't he? But thanks for filling this in, since I'd even forgotten about this, and I've read the book multiple times, and forgotten about giants paying Narnia tribute. I should probably go back and reread that book. |
Ariyah chapter 1 . 8/16/2016 I'm so late to this. Grk. Anyway. That wait for the embassy. Oh. My. Word. So long! No wonder they were all staring at the door! And I felt a swell of pride when Caspian made his response to the news. Sufficient or not, he's clearly a young man now and his maturing shows. The wiggles' speech is perfect (and properly tragic, as it should be). Giants... mocking the King over all kings... I see what you did there, you clever you. And Reep. Ahh, that was... I don't even know how to express. (But, ah, one wee note of criticism, Glenstorm has three sons, unless the fourth you mentioned is post-PC or was too young during PC to be counted amongst the army...) Ariel_of_Narnia |
Thalion Estel chapter 1 . 8/14/2016 Sounds good so far! I liked hearing the different ways that those assembled were viewing the news about ship building; some thinking it important while others yawning. :) Drinian's perspective was particularly entertaining. But my favorite part was when Caspian realized through Reepiceep's courage what he ought to do. I look forward to more! |
TortoisetheStoryteller chapter 1 . 8/11/2016 Ah, that last line. How perfectly true it is. Thank you for reminding me. |
JubileeKnight chapter 1 . 8/11/2016 Beautiful beginning! I enjoyed Drinian's preoccupation, and Caspian's worry about being a good general. Reepicheep coming at the end was perfect! I'm looking forward to more! |
Laura Andrews chapter 1 . 8/10/2016 What a nice surprise! I'd thought this was just going to be a one-shot, but it's a whole new multi-chapter story! I love it. I love how much of a leader Caspian can be, but of course he's only fifteen or so, and you've captured his uncertainty and burden so very well. Of course the end, with Reepicheep, was lovely as well :D I hope you don't have any trouble posting the next chapter! Favorite line: “Aslan!” Caspian gasped out in sudden, desperately angry frustration. “They said you were a *Mythical* Lion! *Mythical*!" |
Sophia the Scribe chapter 1 . 8/10/2016 I loved the ending where Aslan's answer is not direct but indirect, in how Reep shows up at just that time to encourage Caspian in what needs to be done. Great effect :). Blessings, Sophia |
Child of Dreams chapter 1 . 8/10/2016 (giggles) Oh, Reep... You know, he really is quite adorable... |
slytherinsal chapter 1 . 8/10/2016 excellent start |
