I enjoyed the read, but this is actually the first of your stories I've read that didn't just bowl me over with how impressive it was.
If it was another writer here, one I didn't think was as talented as you, then I might just take it as is. But, coming from you this felt a little weak.
Jaune's character seemed off. You got his awkwardness right but the whole back and forth between Weiss and Pyrrha thing was confusing. Was he interested in Weiss still? Is he dating Pyrrha? Are they trying to set up a poly with the three of them?
Weiss and Pyrrha were good. I liked the internal thoughts from Weiss. We didn't get a whole lot from Pyrrha until right at the end, but that's kind of her character.
Then there was the romance part. All of the flirting and teasing made this feellike it was the second or third chapter in a story, not the first. I as big a fan of en media res as you'll find but this left me wanting explanation. I come back to a lot of the questions I had around Jaune's character. Are he and Pyrrha dating? Are they looking for a poly relationship with Weiss? Or at least a 3-way hookup perhaps? Pyrrha kissed Jaune okay, but then Weiss kissed Pyrrha. On the cheek felt explainable, but then the lips? And leaving off there?

Like I said, I enjoyed the read. It was pleasant and fun, the banter was enjoyable and the setting was appropriate. From most authors here I would have been perfectly happy with it. But, I guess I have just come to expect a little more from your works.

Please do continue this though. I'd love to see where their dinner date takes them.
