Okay…Hopefully book 4 is Kakarot/Goku leaving the Saiyans for good. Because him being under a leaders like Vegeta/Tarble has annoyed me to no end. Like it’s already been established how much Chi-Chi means to him and how he acts when she’s in danger, yet Vegeta proceeds to try to kill her. Everyone was pretty much going to let it happen until Kakarot went feral. And then Tarble has the audacity to yell about Vegeta almost being killed...Welp he brought on himself, hierarchy be damned.

You realize that those energy blasts that can destroy planets also have heat in them right?
It's a basic principal of physics as well.
I know there was that stupid scene in the freeze fight where goku did the flaming butt thing. But that's a gag.
Personally I recommend YouTubers chuck and ssjryu1 who have a good analysis on how strong the saiyans really are.
There is also the matter of the toei interpretation/version which lets them survive in space as well (the movies).
I know you're trying to create challenges for the cast but really this seems disingenuous at best.
Maybe have the tuffles team up with the humans or make bulma Tony stark 2.0 out for revenge or introduce a variation of the pride troopers (freeze was a galactic emperor but a universal one afterall).

Despite the maelstrom founding on inside Kakarott's head, he Knew how to Kill Chille, he announced it himself, stab the heart or the head, he was still in contol through the first part of his rage blood lust. Chille should be dead in this Chapter, he's served his purpose to break Kakarott, so he should have been impaled in the heart, with an internal ki explosion like what was done to Zarbon in cannon.

This was a great chapter. Seeing as how things have been with the other Saiyans, and seeing how they would react to the return of Kakarot. The confusion was epic, and when he brought Kauli, I thought that was an interesting discussion. Hey Espeo, sorry it's been a long time, but had a lot of time and computer trouble recently. But, I'm back now reading what and when I can! This was a great chapter, Trunks, losing Tarble, and also Gohan,/Karot, off screen I think was saddening especially Tarble's final moments. This is going to make me look forward to his future with interest. Kakarot's whole arc, was great! Just seeing him break in and get Ice/Kauli, out of harms way was interesting, Kauli/Ice, not believing she is a Saiyan, and or trusting Kakarot, was funny, but also understandable. I thought when the military found out about Ice, there spring into action was understandable. However, Oister, just completely snapping and killing his childhood friend, trying anyway, was just way left field. Not evening going to question your long time friend eh? Wow? He gave up quick. Lol. Abcon, being around and loyal to Kakarot, was awesome! Now, the military and Kakarot's interactions for the rest of this chapter, were great! Kakarot's playful scenes were a joy, his psychotic scenes or so, were creepily entertaining, and this whole split personality of Kakarot, is a nice twist to the story because you don't know what he's going to do. Now, what the military and Bulma, did to Kakarot, I didn't condone, when he was a prisoner. But, the way you made Kakarot, so methodical and evil and points was a nice touch. Stealing Trunks, that was a thing I suspected...the taunting with it however wow...also his nonchalant and then happy reaction to killing Bulma, was shocking! So, at this point I feel bad for Bulma, and the military. So, Chille's way of messing with Kakarot was a nice touch of plot, but at the same time makes a good point. Have the Saiyans, been completely honest with him? To that same point, has Raditz, told Kakarot, and we the audience everything?! Can't wait for the next chapter!

Okay technically I ain't done with this chapter yet, I'm at the point when Kakarot, Turles and Raditz are mocking Gero's age.
That said; there's some parts from the last several chapters I have just got to comment on.

1st When the Z-Fighters came back and were messing with Baby Trunks and suddenly Raditz showed up choking (I think) Yamcha I couldn't help but hear TFS Raditz screaming "DADDY RADITZ IS PISSED!" instead of "UNCLE RADITZ IS PISSED!"
BTW I noticed there's been several TFS references lately; the big one was Kakarot's transformation into King Vegeta.

2nd I know you hate to do fluff, and I honestly don't blame you. But you did damned good! It felt natural and smoothed well.

3rd. This was a while back, but that scene of Kakarot nearly commiting suicide and being comforted by Raditz and Karot/Gohan... fuck... if I wasn't at work and a damned master of hiding my emotions; I would have been crying like a baby. It was such a bitter sweet scene that ripped at your heart strings.

4th. I noticed character development of the other characters has definitely come along - especially with Turles and Tarble. Vegeta I think still hasn't changed much from Book 1 except just being more pissed and with a shorter fuse due to the shit Kakarot is getting them into. Nappa's progression hasn't been as drastic as Turles and Tarble but it's been there. We see bits and bits of his wisdom of the gang. I do feel like he's a bit OOC but again; I'm perfectly okay with this because the situation is different than what we've seen with him before in the manga, anime and video games. He's still Vegeta's (and now to a lesser extent; Tarble's) lackey but being the oldest and most experienced of the group. I noticed his motivations are slowly coming to light like he's doing this more than just being Vegeta's lackey that's been handed to him by his father. I feel like it's beginning to show that looks at the princes as his surrogate sons. From the Chapter previews it looks like this will be the case between him and Vegeta.
Now for Tarble; his progression has been pretty easy to see. Him growing a pair of balls and standing up to everyone's crap - whether it be to Kakarot, Raditz or even his own brother and Nappa. I was originally against the idea of Tarble being blinded in the present timeline, but considering how strong his character has grown I'm beginning to look at him in the same light as my late father and my still living uncle (whom is my Dad's twin brother) whom are blind. I DO hope Tarble will change his mind on the blindness and let someone cure him of his blindness with the Dragon Balls - or if he somehow develops a way on his own with technology or medicine (or both) to give him some sense of sight - like with Geordi LaForge from Star Trek The Next Generation (he was the Engineer of the Enterprise. He was a black man whom was blind since birth. He wears a device called a visor that allows him to see to a certain degree - mostly heat and body signitures. Ironically; even more like Tarble he also has issues with self-confidence at times, however with Geordi it's more with his bad luck with women)

Now for Turles. I stated before how much I was HATING his character due to how much of a dick he is. He is still a dick but I noticed his progression is similar to what Raditz went through back in late book 1 and through book 2. Now he still doesn't like Kakarot or his 3-ish nephews, but now he actually has some level of respect and care for his younger brother and is really starting to connect with him. I would like to see more of Raditz and Turles's relationship as brothers since obviously they get along much better than with Kakarot since their personalities are more alike. I do like how Turles to a degree has forgiven Raditz for abandoning him so many years ago now that he sees that Raditz still regrets what he done so he goes that extra mile to protect Kakarot. I would like to see maybe Turles get in over his head and ends up needing to be saved by Raditz so Turles can truly see that his brother does care about his well-being just as much as he does Kakarot's.

Oh yeah as of the two Trunks. I'm NOT a fan of babies or children in general. Honestly; I feel so uncomfortable around children/babies that I do whatever I can to stay away from them. That said; I love Baby Trunks because he is so adorable and his affect on Raditz as a father. I really look forward to seeing Trunks grow up and his effect on Raditz and vice versa. As for Future Trunks I look forward to what his relationship will be with his father and uncle and cousin.

Despite the fact I am actually part-way into Chapter 11 (specifically the part where Karot, Raditz, Turles, Vegeta and Nappa are having breakfast and nearly everyone is being a dick to Karot) I decided to stop and review again.

Espeon you were right, after the Frieza fight, the story definitely departed from canon quite a bit! Honestly, so much has happened that I can't cover it all besides giving general outlooks or things that popped out to me.
The number 1 thing that popped out to me is more directed at you and the responses from your other readers. About the whole how Raditz and Bulma being the parents of Trunks. Honestly, despite how much you have stated since Book 2 how they will never get together; I both believed it and didn't. I suspected how the two acted towards each other (ever since Bulma kissed Raditz) that they would likely be the parents to Trunks. I could and most sure that they definitely won't get together as a couple though. The bad blood between Bulma and the Saiyans is too strong for it to happen - no matter how useful Bulma could be as an inventor. I suppose there is a slight chance they could depending how the Cell arc goes (I know from the story summary for Book 4 that the Humans, Saiyans, and Androids will have to work together to defeat Cell) but I doubt it.
I do like the idea of Trunks being the son of Raditz and how it strengthens Trunks's bond with Gohan/Karot even MORE than in canon. And in the canon those two were borderline brothers (more so Future Gohan, than Present Gohan)
I am admittedly curious how Turles (and a lesser extent the other Saiyans) is going to respond to Trunks being another Half-Breed.
I'm curious how Trunks in the present will be born - if it all. Future Trunks's explanation how they had a one-night-stand definitely made sense, but considering how little Bulma and Raditz are interacting now, I'm wondering how the hell do they get to that point. I highly doubt you wrote or will ever write a lemon-chapter (honestly, rather you didn't)
I can only image Raditz has Bulma in a near-death situation again, but that time one of them tries the kiss-thing again, but instead of it just being used as a clever escape or some small revenge they end up getting into it and doing "the deed". After the deed is done, Raditz realizes what he had just done and runs off like he normally does - perhaps then realizing finally that he is Trunks's father, but due to his feelings towards not just Bulma, but his brought out care for his family; he doesn't try to go back and kill Bulma and prevent Trunks from being born.

I believe this is good segway to get into the other Saiyans. As I said in Book 2; the relationship between Raditz and Kakarot is the freaking best thing about this series. It is the glue that gets me so addicted to this story. I don't think their relationship as brothers has expanded much since Raditz's revival except for that Raditz's love for his family is showing more and more. Really driving home what was already established by Chapter 12 in Book 2. That's not a bad thing though. I'm glad its here and how it's given way to Turles being the long-lost Middle Brother.

As for Turles, I noticed his backstory is pretty similar to the fan manga that was focused on Raditz and Turles called "Dragon Ball Zero". In that fan manga, Turles wasn't said to be Raditz's brother or anything except that no one knows who Turles's parents are. The way Turles was essentially left to die is pretty much one-to-one with this except for the age difference. In that fan-manga; Turles and Raditz were closer in age. i think Raditz being 7, and Turles being 6. They were on a child-based squad that got tricked into going to a planet that was too strong for them. Turles and the 3rd kid that was on the team seemingly die. Turles survives by a string because he finds the fruit of the Tree of Might when he's basically at death's door.
Speaking of; I noticed the obvious nod to the Tree of Might's seeds and how Turles had them. I assume he was going to visit Earth like how he did in his movie with his Crusher Corps, but that plan got shot in flames in this story due to the humans attacking his ship upon entry. I'm curious if the Tree of Might and it's over-powered fruit will come into play later. Of course it does come with the huge problem (or benefit depending how the Saiyans look at it) of destroying all of Earth's life force.
As for Turles's character himself; he hasn't been in for very long but I feel like so far he's a bit too grumpy compared to his Funimation dub counterpart (I haven't seen the Ocean dub version since like... 1998 lol) Turles in the Funimation Dub as well as all the games he's appeared in (which isn't that many, sadly) his personality is pretty much a dark version of Goku. Turles is very cunning and full of himself, and has no problem talking smack-talk to his opponets. (in Raging Blast 2, if he beats Vegeta in a match he'll respond "Aww it's the PRINCESS of all Saiyans!" or in Budokai Tenkaichi 3, if he beats any of the kids he'll respond "Go home and cry to your mother!" in his smug and mocking tone) And he has this desire to grow stronger and be ruler of the Universe in a way Vegeta kinda did in early DBZ, except instead of training his ass off or exploiting his Zenkai Boosts, he just uses the Fruit - essentially he has no problem cheating to win. Which means he is pretty much the polar opposite of Goku/Kakarot who is an honorable warrior, doesn't mock his opponets very much, and always believes in getting more powerful by training his ass off and fighting much stronger opponets.
So far; Turles in this story is basically Grumpy Vegeta and is even more racist than Vegeta in this story. I really do hope Turles can turn it down later on when he gets to better understand and respect Kakarot and Karot (and later; Trunks) but considering how little Vegeta has changed from Book 1, I doubt he will. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if Turles betrays the group as a whole in his own desire for power, or him and Vegeta (and perhaps Nappa) do something so horrible that Kakarot, Raditz, Karot, Tarble and possibly Future Trunks will split off from the rest. I suspect Vegeta would eventually turn on his own brother considering now that Tarble has grown a pair of balls against his brother and is questioning him or over-riding his authority at times - something only Kakarot has been doing up to this point.

Vegeta as I said; hasn't changed much to at all since Book 1. I noticed all of the Saiyans besides Vegeta and Turles have been changing in some way since they were introduced. Or at least showing more of their personality than before. Gohan/Karot and Tarble have been noticably getting more stern and cold-hearted. More so Tarble than Gohan. But still; out of the entire group; those two seem to be becoming the most balanced of the group. Riding that fine line between good and bad. Kakarot has obviously become more evil and demented as he goes along. In a way, I wouldn't be surprised if he gets to a point where he becomes the Ultimate Villain where everyone must try to defeat. Raditz I don't need to go into.
Nappa has definitely changed. I noticed he's a bit OOC (but not on the level of Turles who went from cocky-upstart to Grumpy, Racist Vegeta 2.0) but I wouldn't say it's bad because it really is sweet to see Nappa show off that more mentor-like persona. I noticed when it comes to Karot, him and Raditz are a kinda toss-up on who's becoming what Piccolo was to Gohan in Canon. Probably it'll be both of them being essentially that mentor-figure to the young Saiyan Hybrid. I suspected this would happen with them and Karot as soon as the Z-Fighters VS The Saiyans fight back in Book 1. Raditz had mirrored Piccolo's survival training for Karot, and then during the actual fight I noticed that at one point Nappa had what I want to call "comforted" Karot when Kakarot has turned into his Great Ape form by patting him on the head and beginning his nickname for Karot; "Kiddo" - which I honestly find adorable.
It's just a shame that Canon or the Video Games haven't taken this mentor-concept for Nappa. Damn Toriyama; he ruined the potential of not just Raditz and Tarble, but Nappa too.

Oh yeah your humor is as always; hilarious. I can't help but chuckle. But the one thing that had me in near stitches was the revelation of Vegeta's fear of WORMS! I love how all the Saiyans have some phobia. It's funny and cute. I dunno why but Nappa's fear of Dogs reminded me of another fanfic I read where Nappa had an odd interest in taking care of flowers (the fanfic was called "Wish" by Lans13)

Hey Espeo, let me first tell you that I am still alive and kicking, nothing bad has happened to me and I've been reading your story still. I am so, so, sorry it has taken me this long to get through this chapter. But, I hit a snag in my life, not depressing or anything just stressful. I am however, trying to get back to my reading and writing, which I am going to try and encompass everyday. So, here goes to reading more of your DBZ, story in the future! Or, realistically it should be Dragon Ball, because they all link lol! On to the review! When the chapter starts, I loved how you put it in a type of recap where Kakarot, is in great pain and his torture is just madness! When it seems like it is done though, we see Turles, in disguise killing humans at the army base. You made it quite clear that Turles, wants nothing to do with Kakarot, so he will go to whatever lengths to see that Kakarot dies, which to complete this the army thinks Kakarot, broke out really quick and killed the humans. I know the humans are fearful and what not, but way to use the brains guys...anyhow! When Chille, mentions Old Sparky, I could of only guessed! An electric chair! You really show well through fear people can be cruel and how war helps this along as well sometimes. But, I couldn't believe Chille, and the army would tie Kakarot, down In a electric chair and try to fry him! Seeing the pain Kakarot, went through was hard and the fact that he had singed fur, hair, along with him smoking...I couldn't believe he survived it...tough as nails; but after something like that it made me wonder if he was better off dead? But, that was only the beginning as you've shown, because solitary confinement while inside of a cage was next?! The break at the next bit, was indeed refreshing. I did enjoy how you had Karot, and Raditz, going through books to study. I even liked how Raditz, gave Karot, a hard time when he found a book on candy that he gave to his uncle to read. The interaction was very sweet! When you enter an old family book into the equation however I liked how that opened the door for more discovery! I liked how it was a book that Bardock, and Gine, used to learn about their children; how they are supposed to read it when old enough. When the book gets read is what I found surprising, it mentions how all three children were when they were born. The mystery you create here is neat, how all three children are born close together. Followed by Raditz, which they noted his colorblindness inherited from the mother, Turles, being aggressive was a given I guess, but following it up with the hates being touched and prefers to be in control...Kakarot's was the best. The happy child; given, the crying hours at a time; given, but when you mention a possible mental issue inherited from the mother that made me start to think. Then just following it up with Gine, having violent outburts and what not, while being paranoid and claiming something was going to kill her children?! I wanted to know more so bad. But, you did give a glimpse of Gine hearing voices and not wanting to fight because she was afraid. I enjoyed how it bothered Raditz, how this possibility delves deeper into the family, when he read more up on Turles, liked how he stumbled upon the words, schizophrenic, depression, and necrophilia? Wow...didn't see that coming! It was all the more funny too, how Raditz, did his best to hide that information from Karot. The one part that was also interesting is how Raditz, was learning that brain injuries can lead to insanity...which both he and Karot, who still listened in, knew that Kakarot, was going to be in big trouble. Back at the army headquarters I loved the talk between Kaets and his daughter, I liked how they discussed Kakarot, carefully. Kaets, being a doctor, which I found interesting at this point, knows of Kakarot's possible mental issues just from overhearing things and talking to people; in many ways he is fearful. The way he interacts with his daughter Ice, though as well as Ice's own curiosity in the mix is what has me interested. When we go back to Kakarot, it sucks to see the situation he is in, being wounded all over the place, in the cage, along with being in solitary confinement. Man, the way you wrote his situation you feel bad for the guy. Unfortunately it continues when Chille, and Nomlas, enter the room, They proceed to whip and torment Kakarot, try to get information from him. But, with all that Kakarot's been through, can't not blame him for talking. Once again though Nomlas, brutalizes the Saiyan, by forcing him to eat. What I loved next in a weird way was when Kakarot, bit Nomlas. When he sunk his teeth into the man's arm brutal yes, but can't say he didn't deserve it. This then went to Chille, using the crown, as well as a taser to electrocute Kakarot. This leads to more mocking of the Saiyan, and I like how you have Kakarot, struggling to hold on to the last vestiges of his sanity as he vows to kill everyone once he is free! This is furthered when Chille, and Nomlas, take Youzi, and throw him in with Chille's tigers. Youzi, didn't deserve to die like that, heart wrenching scene. This however is making Kakarot's heart and blood boil as he is witnessing the death of his friend as well as you are putting it with each thump the countdown to the death of his sanity. When you made Kakarot, vow to kill Nomlas, even more after that, I knew the man was through, especially when Kakarot, said you deserve nothing better than to be eaten alive like Youzi, was. Killing Youzi, really was the last straw and sadly, the fact it also made him recall Chichi's death didn't help matters. As more time passed he's alone, just playing with his food to pass the time, a sad sight. Then as was predicted in the book of good foreshadowing, Kakarot, started hearing voices, first Chille's then Vegeta's, followed by Tarble, Raditz, Nappa, Turles, even Karot, mocked him in a way...which shocked me. Then sadly laughter, endless laughter, just consumed him; finally to me proving his insanity! I liked how I got to your point on what you were doing with the final moment. Kakarot, hearing an unknown voice of odd warnings. Which I knew all to well was his bestial nature breaking free. Like it warned Kakarot, in his dreams, are you going to control me, or shall I control you? I like how little it took as well for Kakarot, to break free of his situation, by just slamming his brace holding his tail against the bars, and just easily escaping. The eerie part for me though is, he kept changing from his nice side to psychotic...That's just creepy, but you made it very entertaining as well! When Kakarot, is free and starts killing soldiers, it is scary at how fast and efficient he does it, like you mentioned playtime! His interaction with Ice, during his escape was interesting too, I know he's looking for his Power Pole, and Kakarot, doesn't want Ice, to bother him, but just the way Ice keeps getting intrigued with Goku, has me well in hand. On the way to find his Power Pole, when he threw tables at Nomlas, Skrimp, and Alphredo, not going to lie, I laughed but it was horrible seeing our beloved hero killing people in this fashion. As we see, it is made even worse for the military when Kakarot, finds his Power Pole. Interesting how we see Raditz, getting ready for something in the next part, luckily it was a plan to free Kakarot. A good laugh too as you took us out of the element by having Tao, cry because the spider couldn't go with Raditz. The next part you did with Karot, and Raditz, having their interactions was touching. Raditz, wanting to go off to help Kakarot, but Karot, just concerned for his family; wants answers from his uncle that both he and Kakarot, will return. Raditz, not knowing how to answer is understandable; but I liked how you had the long haired Saiyan, be truthful to his nephew. Clearly once again not knowing how to express it, but obviously showing love and devotion to his nephew. What shocked me though, was once again Tarble, being a step ahead. I knew he was going to be an issue. I just didn't know how or when. Tarble, has picked up on Raditz, having feelings for Bulma, and that drives Raditz, nuts! Or does it? The question is now...does Raditz, still go through with his feelings, or will he not along with the very real possibility that Tarble, will tell Vegeta? Great tension! After Kakarot, retrieved his Power Pole, again I liked the conversation he had with the army. You made Kakarot, so methodical, but yet nonchalant; wanting to kill all the humans in the base, but also making him just shrug off the consequences of his actions. Just creepy, plus the viciousness that you had Kakarot, deliver like crushing that one solider's neck! Brutal! Definitely not the same Kakarot/Goku anymore. Then obviously Raditz, using the Bluntz Wave, to get Kakarot to go Oozaru, was ingenious! Then when he went on a rampage destroying the base, but not only that...eating Nomlas, alive crushing his bones and then spitting him out?! Yikes, but to be fair Nomlas, asked for it in a way...Now while the Oozaru, rampage is going on, you did something interesting...you had Ice, see the Oozaru, form of Kakarot, and wonder about it, like a weird connection. Not only that, Kaets, her father comes out of nowhere and injects her with something and then he starts babbling about keeping his daughter in control, and remembering what happened thirteen years ago?! Can't wait to see what this is about? To top it off as well, Kakarot, had a chance to kill while in his Oozaru, form and he didn't...weird. Then the following morning When Kakarot, reverted back to his regular form and soldiers are pulling survivors from the wreckage, he just wakes up and kills the remaining soldiers without a thought. The one part afterwords that I thought you did excellent in was when Kakarot, was wondering how he was at full strength, and then it hit him: he ate a human. His reaction of revulsion is making me think there is a chance for the old Kakarot, to return. We shall see. After another quick solider kill, flinging his own bullets back at him, the contemplation of Kakarot, is interesting...not knowing what he should do, because in his mind. The Red Ribbon Army, Bulma, The Saiyans, even a place to go is all unknown?! It will be interesting to see how this is handled. Finally with Kakarot, finding the walkie-talkie, while Bulma, was trying to contact the army through it; I just loved the conversation between the two. Bulma, terrified and distraught, not to mentioned angered over what Kakarot, has done to the army as well as the innocent. Kakarot, just being easily angry with her as well, and at the same time not care about his consequences, showing where the bestial nature has taken over. Either way, his final outcome...kill all humans along with Bulma. After Bulma, and Kakarot, are done talking, I loved how Bulma mulled things over in her head...but thus it also brought out Dende, which I wondered where he came from, and why he was still there when he made it sound like he was done with Bulma, and the army? But either way, there could be a reason for why Dende, is still there. I loved how Dende, put Bulma, in her place, when he mentioned that she and the army were responsible for Kakarot's insanity. Which at the end of all things, Bulma, realized what she had done and secretly begs for Kakarot/Goku's forgiveness. One final not how ever...will this change Bulma, or is she too still overcome with too much vengeance. Also, I have a weird feeling Dende is going to be a peacemaker throughout this whole ordeal? Either way great chapter, long but loved it! Looking forward to the next as well! Sorry again for the late reply still around your faithful reader Hugodrax!

Hey, Espeo, sorry it has taken me this long to finally get one chapter done, I've just been so busy with all my other things, work, housework, fun, hobbies, and the what not. I just feel bad that I haven't had the time to completely do what I would've liked so, I apologize. In short though; rest assured that I will keep reading your story when I have the time and all that. It's just that good, and with that segway into the story.
This chapter had it all, from the start I liked how Karot, was still training with Nappa, but sadly he still can't beat him, which has the others mocking him, and Karot, stinging from a bit of loneliness and hurt pride. It was sad to see, I just didn't like how the others especially Turles, and Vegeta, were mocking him, and saying he's a failure. What's more is I didn't think that Turles, and Vegeta, were going to loop Raditz, in there because of a small mention of Kakarot, who must not be named. How every failure with Kakarot, was Raditz, fault because he didn't teach him well enough. I liked that moment, because Raditz, recalled with perfect timing when Kakarot, went to Earth, also with Gine, telling Raditz, to always look out for his youngest sibling. I thought it was interesting as well, if Kakarot, was found he was supposed to be terminated on site. Just loved how you had Raditz, think that if he saw his exiled brother he'd look the other way. I also liked after all that how Raditz, gave some encouraging pointers to Karot, on how to beat Nappa. Karot, took his uncle's message to heart and challanged the Saiyan General again. What shocked me a little was how if Karot, kept failing he was going to be killed by Turles, and Vegeta, as heard from the irritated second brother himself. I just thought that such a placement for Karot, was cruel. But, I enjoyed the warning of Raditz, giving to Turles, that he would protect the child, not just for the reason that he wanted to; but from Kakarot. Then you added the icing on the cake of the near death experience of Raditz, from Kakarot, when he attempted the same thing. The shock you gave Turles, was priceless. I have to say too, that Raditz, is protecting Karot, not just for the sake of Kakarot, but for his own as well, because I can tell the child has grown on him, and deep down he loves him equally as his own family. When Karot, and Nappa, fought one more time, I liked how this time Karot, grabbed Nappa's tail and used his momentum against the General, tossing him, thus defeating him. I loved everyone's shock, some were happy Raditz, and Tarble, even Nappa, to an extent. Turles, and Vegeta, were less happy about the events. I know I'm farther behind in this story as well, but I still sense the Coup, happening between the Saiyans. There's too much evidence to support that there is going to be one.
The next part was like wow! When we first see Kakarot, the process of his captivity, was just so unique. He was so disoriented that he felt like he was dead. You have to feel that way if they are keeping you drugged. But, I have to say this is the part of the story, I liked Kakarot, in because later is just ugh! When the soldiers come in to mock Kakarot, it is entertaining to see. I liked how you built this heated and mocking rivalry between Chille, and Kakarot, there's just a lot of intensity here! It shocked me when Kakarot, broke through his restraints a bit and thus taking out the drugs in his system. For Kakarot, to do that on that amount of a weakened condition was nothing short of impressive! Although, you followed it with a betrayal to Kakarot, by that Fish Demon, Newt. I'd hate to be that guy as well, right now, but considering his betrayal of Kakarot, I only hope the ones who helped the Saiyan, like Abcon, and the others are okay? To play the battle of wits and mockery with Chille, I liked how Kakarot, only spoke in the Saiyan, language to not cooperate with the humans. Then sadly with that next bit, came Youzi. I thought it was noble of the monkey to try and save Kakarot, during his capture. But the fact they captured Youzi, too, then mutated him was just unpredictable, not to mention low from the character stand point. When Kakarot, was refusing to cooperate with the humans, I knew torture was going to be the next step. So, when my next least favorite human comes up, Nomlas, and he starts whipping Kakarot, without mercy; it just made me feel bad. When Chille, and the other soldiers left the room, I liked how Ice, stared back with fear and just noticed how if Kakarot, got free it would mean trouble. Plus, you said I think in the last chapter, that Ice, knew Kakarot, somehow? I can't wait to see what's up with that? It's just so weird that even Ice's father comes along and shoo's her away from the Saiyan. I also like how Ice, and Oister, have this friendship with each other...I can't wait to see how this plays into the story, because you set that up well. But, the way you ended this part of the chapter was great. The way Ice, couldn't stop thinking of the way Kakarot, looked with his eyes. Like the Oozaru, was coming out of him and saying “death will come!”
I liked how you did the two year time skip, and you had the rest of the Saiyans, finishing up a battle with the Red Ribbon Army. I just loved how you had all the fighters annoyed. When they all start of thinking of a way to defeat the army. I like how Nappa's says they need to find the main base, but all that needs to be done is turning Karot, into a girl. Nappa's points of Karot's voice not changing and him being short, probably also with his awesome long black hair, he's a perfect candidate. I loved how everyone was for this except for Karot. But, he still got looped into it, and I liked how everyone had a good laugh, even I did when you showed Karot, in the dress! Also, I thought the whole acting scene with Karot, and Raditz, pretending to kill him, even though I liked how you pointed out how Karot, thought his uncle was being way too into character lol! I thought it was awesome when the scheme worked and Karot, was taken by Skrimp, and some men back to the home base. As soon as you seem to have Raditz, leave I liked how you made us think he'd picked up on finding Kakarot, but then it was just cigarette smoke, mixed with perfume and lovely other bits. Who knew that this would've led to Bulma, who was trailing close by and with her bike broken down at that moment. This whole scene was just gold, I liked how Raditz, fazed in and out trying to scare her, plus Bulma's gumption never failing to leave her. But the weirdest part...even though both people are getting ready for the kill, their actually having casual conversation with one another!? Lol! What's more as during this entire conversation with one another I like how you have her getting curiously aroused by Raditz, and then Raditz, comments on not wanting to damage Bulma's face?! Which I believe he did call pretty? I liked how you then had Bulma, use this to her advantage, when Raditz, was looking like he was about to blast her away, I like how a simple giggle gets him to stop. Followed by a time she mentions Raditz, training with Goku, and saying that both men looked cute. I'm going to say that was an awesome wordplay for Bulma, because when Raditz, felt embarrassed by that it was cute to me as well. When Bulma, used that opportunity to shoot Raditz, and he stopped it, it looked as if you were going to have him try an blast her again. But, once again the unexpected kiss caught Raditz, off by surprise Gold! But, with that kiss, something unexpected happened, he liked it? I loved how Bulma, didn't expect that, which I liked, so great reaction work. Plus, I thought it was weird with that kiss how Raditz, mentions to Bulma, inadvertently that he was colorblind. The he went into detail, about how his mother had trained him to know colors, but that he grabs Bulma's hair and you make him mention how blue stands out. After that, both vow to get even with each other still, as their rivalry grows, but coyly so does their fondness for one another. Just loved how you're deepening both of their relationship here. I have no doubts that Trunks, may be born from this now, but what will it mean for Kakarot, he's vowed to kill her several times...I'm wondering will that happen now with Raditz's current feelings?!
The next scene was a good one, I loved how you shared the emotions of the humans, in the bunker. Just on the way to eat, we see how they aren't all monsters like Chille, and some of the human army. Some, are just angry for what the Saiyans, did to the planet, their lives, and loved ones. Also, some just want to understand what happened, along with the final bit of them just being downright scared. Hearing that one mother say, how many of the current humans have brought new children, into the desolate type society was sad to hear. So, just awesome scene all around. Plus, I love how Karot, has secretly been mingling with everybody. Plus, the interaction with the young child Barry, as well as the cafeteria lady Peach, was interesting...I wonder if Karot, is going to have some sort of interaction with them in the future? Also, when you brought Kakarot, into this, I couldn't believe how they were using him for the force labor?! But, given how this world is, people will treat people the same just for a taste of vengeance. I liked how Karot, noticed his father and it made him angry, vice-versa with Kakarot, who picked up his son's own scent. It was a good thing too, that they gave Kakarot, some fresh food for once, but albeit not enough of it for one, and also in a dog dish how degrading! I liked how Karot, also followed Chille, and the others, found the lab where they were holding his father, along with almost succeeding in setting his father free. Unfortunatly Chille, had to come by, and question the disguised Karot, on top of that I did chuckle when Karot, also had to pee, and he did his best holding it in. When Karot, had no choice

Second chapter! I don't usually review back-to-back like this, but if you insist, I'll make an exception.

Wait, you really drew the name of the book from a box? Kind of surprised that title won. I thought that the pride one had a bit more charm to it, though it would be an awesome title for the final book. I could imagine how it could end, though it'll take some time for that to appear. :D

Now I wonder how the title will play out as a chapter. Oh boy...

Recently, I began watching a new playthrough, and Chille totally fits that evil man to a T. The arrogance he provokes is truly reminding me of how he treated one of the protagonists. Seeing the solitary confinement and torture is truly making it highly tempting to unleash something I have been working on recently, though I will need to refine a few points.

Raditz has a point: Kakarot's truly gone a bit too far. It's one thing to kill if someone's life is in danger, another when facing a challenge that can demoralize someone.

Seeing the Z-Fighters meeting up with Kakarot's going to be interesting. Great job Yamcha. Challenge Kakarot to a duel. I like to see you contribute to the death count. (Nothing against him, seeing him getting hosed is fun! Reminds me of the baseball episode!)

As expected, Yamcha is a sore loser and suicidal. Nice! Too bad ChiChi had to butt in. Guess we know who the true king of the mountain has to be.

No! Dang it! Why did Tarble had to run into Cell of all people? I'm getting bad vibes seeing him running around near them. After reading that scene, I'm glad that evil android left the prince alone.

Bora, you chose the wrong words to say to Kakarot. Just shush and leave before... you know what? Fine. Provoke Kakarot. See what happens. Really, when will it sink in that trying to convince Kakarot is like adding a target to your back?

Make a note everyone: Kakarot should not be trusted with sharp objects, not even knives. They should really invest in a metal detector for him to pass through leaving the kitchen.

Seeing Bora die was brutal. Someone do something already and... finally. Karot's snapped.

The end of this chapter was so powerful. Seeing Kakarot finally restrained wasn't what I was expecting. All they need to do is take away that freaking necklace and rehabilitate him without much violence for awhile.

Ooo... preview for the next book. I'll have to admit, Kauli's rather charming facing off against Cell. Can't wait to see her kick some serious booty. (I would say the other word, but that's a bit crude for a review.)

Seeing ChiChi protecting everyone is refreshing for a change. Of course, this is after seeing another future event. Dang, how many times did Kakarot lose his head?

Seeing Raditz retreat from Zhanshitao is a bit disheartening. I thought he would have gotten over most of his fears by now. At least he managed to go out and make him behave after all of that mess.

You're a wizard Kakarot. You appear out of nowhere all the time. Though I do wish he learned instant transmission so he could do it properly. Bet he'd drive everyone crazy if he did. :D

Seeing Kakarot and Piccolo talking is rather new, considering the circumstances.

Seeing Kakarot with the blood... ew! Just ew! Broly was gross enough, but that's a bit extreme.
