Ooo, a new chapter! It's nice to see Mawile's thoughts like this. Although, I do wish you'll expand on your sentences, take for example, "I balled my fists in frustration" and the two sentences afterwards, they got the basic idea and emotion behind it but isn't impactful for the reader. If you could expand on them, it would help the reader feel that very frustration Malik is feeling. Also, it just crossed my mind that most of the sentences do not end in punctuation for some reason.

I started and got to this chapter in about four hours I believe? Nevertheless, I enjoy it. :D

To answer your questions, I find the idea that Mawile had a previous trainer neat, I feel like you should've expanded on Mawile's emotion and though instead of just leaving as "Mawile disobeyed all of Julian's orders," that greatly weakens, instead of emphasizes, the disdainful relationship between Mawile and Julian. Concerning the second question, I say a trainer should understand why his or her Pokémon is being disorderly and then work with that Pokémon. For the final question, I feel like Malik would've gone with Mudkip but I don't know exactly. Although, I glad he went with Mawile, they're a better fit for one another.

Now I have a question for you: why did you mark this story as ship between Mawile and OC (I'm assuming the OC is Malik)? Shipping, especially in the Pokémon fandom, refers to a romantic or/and sexual relationships but I haven't seen any of that within the story so far so I'm assuming that at some point down the line, Malik will get involve with his Mawile, is that correct? Send me a message if you want to tell me about that.

Would it be nice if Malik fought another trainer that is just like him but uses a Sableye instead of a Mawile because Mawile's mini counterpart IS Sableye.

Yup, Seth is not the greatest guy in the world to get along with! Ha, I didn't expect Chandelier to be used in such a way to exploit Mail's fear. My favourite part of the Chapter? Tyler getting Gallade. And you don't see Delcatty too much in these parts. The attention to detail in this chapter is noticeable. The cliffhanger makes me crave more, and the updates are slow, but steady.

I predict that they enter a haunted house and Malik's fear causes him to super-cowardly (jumping in Mawile's arms at one point).

"Sup..." That was my favorite line in the whole chapter. I call it 'Vintage Malik', the way he casually greeted Shelly and Tabitha like that.

I didn't think Nuzleaf and Mawile would win, even though Malik acknowlegded the disadvantage. Bide put my doubts to rest.

Ninjas being a signature Pokemon is something I haven't seen before. I like.

And one last thing, the pacing of these last few chapters have improved compared to early on in the fic.

Anyway, sorry for using this page for that Renegade. My previous review was genuine, and I meant it. I just don't understand why some ficus don't get the amount of reviews they should...Don't fret thought. It took me around 35 chapters for me to reach a couple thousand views ;D

A 'familiar', shrouded in mystery...you know who I'm talking about.

More importantly, maybe I've said this before, maybe I haven't: You do a remarkable job emphasizing the importance of Pokemon Battling, which is actually uncommon and somewhat rare here in Fanfiction. What is going on with Malik and Mawile is so familiar, yet manages to maintain its sense of mystery at the same time. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO PREDICT, and that's how it's supposed to be for me as a reader. You never stray from Mawile being special, and every one of Malik's other Pokemon have had their chance to shine at one time or another, and it's nice to see the dynamic they work on with each oth, i.e. Mawile and Vibrava, or even Malik and Misdreavus(Who haven't even been together for 5 chapters). I'm just a fan of the fact that the addition of Misdreavus requires some getting used to on Malik's part.

And oh snap, Malik lost! My eyes went wide, especially after the evolution, and ESPECIALLY with all the energy Seedot had. Nice twist.

Got intense there. Yeah, I knew what to expect, but I still was drawn in by the dialogue and Malik becoming defensive(almost to a fault from Tyler and Taylor's point of view).

About my long absence? Simple, I was in Boot Camp. I'm back, and I actually found a story that had me thinking about 'RENEGADE1357' and 'Malik & Mawile'. I'm glad too. I'll be caught up in no time.
