I really loved Breda in this

Sometimes I forget just how much one man like Mustang can carry a lot on his shoulders until he breaks. He's ambitious and dedicated, paternal to his subordinates, and a lot of things more that he doesn't show openly to the world for reasons. It's exactly the reason why I liked him as a character. God knows he's the main reason why started watching the whole series in the first place. That said, this really broke my heart. There a few fics who tackle this kind of plot and I haven't read one that ended as sad and powerful as this one. It's heartbreaking and beautiful. And I liked how you wrote Breda in this one. Hawkeye, too. How she stays dedicated and strong at his superior's side is something great about her. Thanks for writing this!definitely one of my favorites from how on.

Neato. Among the various things I (thoroughly) enjoyed about this fic:
Mustang's Big Thinking;
Breda's self-ordained embarrassment duty;
Mustang vs the wrinkly old potato;
the little pillbox by the gate;
"terrible taste in music";
Grumman being political;
Breda, and how you write him, because since reading this I started paying him more attention and realised he's kind of brilliant;
how invested the whole team is in Mustang's success, because it's no longer just his vision;
"Hawkeye looked at him as if he'd just asked why night follows day or why the grass is green" and;
everything else.

i love them. i love all of them. i especially love breda because he's so loyal and chill and breda in this fic is also loyal and chill. thank u for making breda loyal and chill.

Oh my word. Okay. So I can't tell you how excited I was when I saw you were writing and posting again, because I seriously love your work. :) your characterization and writing style is so on point. It was your story 'Quiet Crown' that I first read, like, waay back when I got into the fma fandom that really really got me into Roy and the gang. (btw that story is beyond amazing, like, I can't even and now I am forever a lover of all those beautiful characters.)

Perfect, just perfect. Your fics are briliant. I can't thank you enough. I.. love this. I love how you write about Roy and his subordinates. You really know well about each of their characters and how they interact. And I LOVE Angst!Hurty!Roy.. so this fic really was for me. Poor Roy, finally fainting-(Of course I loved this scene so much) pushing himself too hard. But this is one of the reasons why the team mustangs follow him. He is worth it, worth their all dedication. I especially liked how you wrote Breda. His respect, loyalty, some pity - and love for the man . It was touching and beautiful. Thank you so much for wrtiting such a wonderful piece of art. And I liked 'Wrecked', too. YOU are a legend. Your every fic is a great gift for me. THANK YOU!

Wow. I felt bad about Roy being sick and overworked and Riza being worried in the first chapter, but I focused on the humor. I was surprised by how much went wrong in the second chapter, but it really worked. Poor Roy really mis-strategized this time.

I agree with you about Grumman. Grumman is partial to Roy, but he (Grumman) is ambitious and tricky. In the scene in FMA:B where Miles is thinking what Grumman might think about Olivier Armstrong and Mustang, it's done as if Grumman is actually thinking those thoughts. And, he WAS. He was planning to slip into the Fuhrer's office after the younger officers did the difficult work. I like that he sort of turned on Roy in your scene.

Poor Riza and her sad smile. The frustration and the exhaustion of her and Breda is so depressing.

I hope that this foray back into fan fiction has made you want to write more.

I like the other story (and hope that you decide to finish it,) but this is hilarious. You do the team sooo well. Havoc and Breda's reaction to Fuery's comment was perfect. I also loved Falman's irritation at the prospect of a rescheduling and Breda's comment about being Havoc's wingman. Maybe best of all was Mustang believing that Blithe "vaguely" liked him because they had never met.
