IHeartSam chapter 13 . 1/5/2019 Brilliant story, loved the ending! |
Guest chapter 13 . 9/19/2018 Enjoyable read. Good feel for the characters. Not big on leave you hanging endings but interesting approach. Thank you. |
Beyondtoday chapter 13 . 9/8/2018 Boy, this story took me on a roller coaster ride. It brought tears and I loved it. |
Aki chapter 13 . 8/21/2017 This is so well written. Everyone is in character, from McCoy's snarky commentary, Spock's cool analysis to Uhura's empathy, it was all perfect. I wish there had been more Scotty but the story didn't lend itself to that. It still read like an actual episode from the ST and ST: TNG series. I was super impressed - especially with the dialogue and inner monologs. As for the ending... He's brash and fearless. James T. Kirk would totally risk the Space Time Continuum even if there was only a slight chance of success in saving his father. Even with that success, in order to preserve the timeline, George will never be allowed to rejoin his family. He can't return to Earth without discovery but settles down on the fringes of explored space in a non-Federation colony. Shortly after that return to their own timeline, George, now 30 years older, sends Jim an encrypted encrypted transmission to come visit on his hideout on his next leave. I like the choose your own adventure style ending but I had hoped there would be some wrap up of the Romulan plot point. Will that mutineer become the push for peace his people need or the spark that further ignites the tensions on his home world? |
AlwaysVictory chapter 13 . 8/6/2017 "Yesterday's Enterprise" is my favourite episode too! This story was brilliant - I'm kinda speechless, actually. There's so much I want to say, but I'm afraid I'll just end up bumbling incoherently . . . So, I shall simply say - THANK YOU! As for the ending, I don't think James Kirk is the type of person to do nothing and let fate take its own course. I think he would sacrifice himself to save his father and Vulcan. Anyway, thank you again for this story and for sharing your talents with us! |
AlwaysVictory chapter 9 . 8/6/2017 That was awkward - just as expected. It's good that Jim has Bones to talk some sense into him every now and again :) |
AlwaysVictory chapter 6 . 8/6/2017 What an emotional chapter. I'm so glad this story is complete, and I can just hit "next" and read on. I don't think I could handle all the cliffhangers ... Thank you for writing! |
AlwaysVictory chapter 5 . 8/5/2017 So, I started reading this a few days ago and kept on getting distracted due to the nature of hectic life, etc. I just wanted to say how amazed I am! Your writing is brilliant and so ... trekky (LOL, if that's even a word), but yeah . . . I am a pretty visual person, so I am able to practically "see" all the events unfolding in this story. It's almost like watching a movie or an episode of the TV series. You have a talent of keeping your readers on the edge of their seats :) I look forward to reading about Jim meeting his dad. And Chekov . . . My heart, is he really dead? I keep hoping that he somehow might survive, but . . . If they really do make the forth movie (which, I'm a bit unsure about - I've heard that that might not happen), I suppose they might have to do something with Chekov's character (kill him off or reassign) - now that Anton Yelchin is no longer with us :( Sorry, I feel like I rambled a lot. Some of it probably didn't make sense. I'm just really loving this story! |
Juanitaj chapter 13 . 7/3/2017 This has been a wonderful story. I've been crying through the last two chapters. Kirk's interaction with his father, saying goodbye and how Anton's character Checov could have passed, written beautifully. Cannot say how much I've enjoyed your writing. Please keep up the great work. |
txgrl chapter 14 . 1/28/2017 Bravo! Really well written |
Nyotarules chapter 14 . 1/26/2017 I like this ending, another timeline is created, George Snr is saved, however was the Narada really destroyed? |
gkell chapter 13 . 1/8/2017 excellent story |
Ink Spotz chapter 10 . 12/4/2016 I'm sorry that it has been a while since my last review, but I'm really glad that I got back into reading your fanfic! Your attention to detail still astounds me! I think that you did a really good job at painting a picture in my mind. I felt like I could see every moment of this chapter! Well done and I can't wait to read more! :) |
TheWizardofOzbourne chapter 13 . 10/29/2016 Brilliant story, and I very much liked the ambiguous ending. This quality of writing and characterization is something I rarely see on this site and it was refreshing to see everything handled so well here. |
cr8zgirl chapter 13 . 10/21/2016 Excellent story. I like to think all 3 of your endings are possible at the same time, all things being temporal ;) thanks for writing it, Goerge meeting Jim was bitter sweet and very touching. |
