I'd finished this one, moved onto the sequel, and then finished that one too, but I had to come back and leave a review on each. Your stories are, by far, the BEST canon-verse Anne of Green Gables fics I've ever, ever read. You have an excellent grasp of the language that makes these stories fit in seamlessly with what LMM wrote. I'm not convinced I don't like these better, even! (Blasphemy, I know-but your stories delight me so!) I truly loved getting this story from both perspectives, too. Being able to see the transition from anguish to hope to absolute joy from both Anne and Gilbert's hearts was so poignant and lovely. Your writing is so well-crafted, your stories are full of heart, and I can see the very great amount of work you've put into creating tales so lovely-and after all that, being willing to share them with others! Thank you so much, and I look forward to exploring your other stories.

I was completely sucked into this story. You wrote the characters so beautifully, crafted an engaging plot, brought the setting to life...I need more Anne/Gilbert content as well written as this! Luckily, this story has a sequel, which I will get right to reading! You should be very proud of your skill at writing!

My favorites fics were your AU for Anne of the Island mainly ;)

Also, your Gilbert is such a sweetheart! I swoon every time he shows up 33 the way you write their relationship is the cutest thing I've ever read in fanfic - I read a lot of AOGG and others fandoms fics too. Hope you continue to write!

Oh, Katiegirl, I discovered AOGG fanfic this past fall and fell head over heels for your writing, and OMDWY in particular. If I had to pick a favorite chapter, it would have to be lucky number 13. I adore this Gilbert of yours: flirtatious, yet ever the gentleman; part schoolboy chum, part suitor-in-waiting. I love that Gil reboots Anne’s impression of him with a short, manly haircut: a very calculated and successful move on his part, as his altered appearance forces her to see him anew, and as a sensual adult male. It’s so much fun to watch our girl come unglued from that first glance on the sofa, and how she immediately and quite unconsciously reaches for the sides of his head, presumably feeling the velvet-like hair under her fingertips. *sigh* I also love how it goes downhill from there: Anne’s musings about Gil’s undone collar, broad shoulders, and manly, stubbled profile send her fleeing to the kitchen to compose herself, on a mission to refill a teapot that she's unwittingly left behind with the object of her blossoming desire. And Gilbert, with those twinkling, teasing eyes, throaty chuckle and infectious grin...

Whoops, I'm summarizing the chapter back to you, the authoress. Silly me. Just know how much I adore this story, and your lovely writing. Thank you so very much!
