Aww, so emotional chapter! Elena's reaction to Elijah's assumed death just cut.

So much quality time the two of them spending time together in this chapter.

"Can I sleep next to you?" Tugging at heart strings.

"I don't want it to guest star in your dreams tonight" - I had to grin at this.

I get Elena's need to know what can hurt him, but it's rather dangerous to have this knowledge. It's also an act of complete trust that he's going to tell her.

I wonder how it will continue with Alaric's animosity towards Elijah.

I LOVED that line. And it was so sweet. It makes sense too, that Elena would want to be closer to Elijah after thinking he's DEAD.

I also really liked how angry she was about Alaric choosing his dislike of vampires over her happiness. But also that conversation with Jeremy (and how Anna cursed in the background).

Basically I enjoyed this :)

I really liked this chapter! It was structured a little different but in a good way. Alaric attacking Elijah was a surprise and something tells me the mystic falls sign being missing is a bad thing since in the show it was made out of white oak wood. The way Elena and Elijahs relationship developed in this chapter was nice and realistic in my opinion. Good work

I would of loved to have seen this in TVD. I’m just on S7 now and haven’t started on TO yet. But I don’t know if I like the idea of Elijah with Hayley.

I really love this. I can’t wait till they kiss. I’m hoping it’s some big powerful thing and it brings out so much emotion for Elijah for Elena. And she just jumps on him, saying she loves him . And he is in shock that she said it. And she over reacts. Thinking he doesn’t feel the same. And she realise What he must of felt Like when she figured out they were soul mate and she bolted. And she can’t believe she denied him this long.
