Sally chapter 4 . 9/27/2019
This is quite a detailed story, you have a great imagination. I do find, however, that I really do not the new JJ Abrams Universe Kirk. I have found that to be so in many of the fanfics based on the new version of Kirk. This Kirk seems either to be vulgar, especially language wise, or kind of always impulsive and klutzy, getting hurt and having to be saved, he is often flippant and insensitive, even at times written as verbally abusive to Spock...and Spock always just sucks it up. The Original Roddenberry Kirk was more solid, more reliable, defined, a real Captain...with faults, yes, but just more likeable

What an interesting concept of going full circle through a wormhole. The ending of this chapter is also intriguing. Is it going to end up being a Spirk fic?

Liked it, could have been confusing and it wasn't. Good characterization!

I think you do a wonderful job of capturing the despair Jim feels being a lab rat for Section 31. It also raises a lot of ethical questions Star Trek is famous for exploring, such as the benefit of humanity versus the rights of the individual. I think your story really is a hidden gem.

I enjoyed this first chapter. I admit, I'm a bit old-school and tend to shy away from present tense writing, but I think you've done generally well at keeping it all in the same tense. It's a bit confusing in your opening paragraph, because you're telling a flashback so there are parts that are in both present and past tense that conflict a little bit, but since I'm familiar with Into Darkness, I can still understand what's going on. Overall, I admire the quality of your writing.

Anyway, I love a good fic featuring classic Spock/Kirk friendship, and enjoy the Spock Prime element that the reboots created. I think you've done Spock justice
