I love to see Dawn and Paul written so intelligently like this. Dawn less naive and Paul less angry. I love the idea that all of Ash's partners might have fallen a little bit in love or at least a little in admiration with him. He is an emotional character and he really does leave a mark on all his partners.

Your interpretation of the characters lives is very nice and like I said I really love how you wrote Dawn and Paul. This was such lovely build up suggesting something more ahead for them two. Loved it :-)

The ash connection references are real. Still enjoyed it though. Your writing is good.

This has a nice view on the whole achieving the champion status. I feel that being chosen is better than winning for the role. In that the previous champion saw leadership skills other than battle tactics. Because anyone can win but can't or doesn't want to lead, only wanting the title and living the life long dream.
