I love the action and the Doctor's constant internal dialogue (Gaskell's men are a mess, I shouldn't put Clara in danger but who else would I want to have my back, etc.). The Doctor and Clara are so in-character.
Wonderful simile on holding onto anger.
An awkward, adorable Doctor, worried about Clara's ribs and stumbling through the discussion melts my heart.
Cute tribute to last year's Christmas episode (I think).
I like the Doctor trying to prove to Clara he's not clueless.
Their different views on time were equally wonderful and thought provoking.
The end with their confessions of their love and the Doctor healing Clara with regeneration energy was just perfect! Great last line!
I only wish it could be longer. Please write more stories like this!

Again I say, I so love your portrayal of the Doctor! He feels perfectly in-character. I laugh at how matter-of-fact he is ("They crashed their ship, we saved their lives") and smile at how happy he is in an impossible situation. :)

I've been so looking forward to updates and I've been saving them as a reward for when I have free time. Wow! This chapter did not disappoint.
I so adore your Doctor! I love how you plan ahead and later explain his subtle actions (pausing at the door to look for the hair). I love having a view at his internal struggle.
The one section reminded me of the mini-episode with Eleven (when he admits she's perfect for him in every way).
I can't wait to have time to read more!

OMG! What an amazing chapter! I adore this story! I love the jealously and their dialogue and for a bonus we get a kiss! You are so wonderful about dropping in little inside connections ('Prince Charming' 'he's a sweetie'). I recognized the name Liz Corday (but didn't watch the show), so I cheated and looked it up in the middle of the chapter. You are too good. Please, please update soon!

I love that it's like an episode, I love Elwick's tests, I love the addition of Richard and the GoT reference (I think), I love that he's internalizing the cards, I love their exact opposite comments to how easy/or not the charade will be. Oh, I forgot, I love the wonderful dialogue! What don't I love? Please update soon! :)
