Lilac Lavender chapter 1 . 7/7/2016 Aw what a perfect short! The idea of it alone makes it ideal, it's such a sweet concept. We get so much from it! The romance of the sentiment of Constance keeping a lock of d'Art's hair and d'Art keeping that missing section of his hair intact, reminding him of who he's missing at home. "Of course, Wife" "Thank you, Husband" was too cute, like kids playing at being married. Newlyweds enjoying being able say those words aww. Porthos' teasing, which was funny as well as sweet in it's own way. That Athos knew! His giving knowing looks to d'Art is just so him ;) I liked that Aramis had a mother-hen moment when he was concerned after Porthos said "shaving accident". Even though he laughed as he said it Aramis couldn't help the flash of worry and I love it. I would like to know the context of the conversation between you and Celticgal that prompted it! Again such a perfect slice of marital devotion and good 'ol brotherly humor! :) |

ZoeBreaky chapter 1 . 7/5/2016 AWWWW! Heart melting! I loved the idea of d'Artagnan not wanting the hair to grow back. This was so cute and historically accurate! I read once that medieval women would cut off tiny braids of their own hair and make them into bracelets for their Knights to wear in battle. |
Tidia chapter 1 . 7/5/2016 So sweet that he kept it up |
celticgal1041 chapter 1 . 7/5/2016 Isn't it crazy what can happen from an innocuous conversation. ;-) So glad tis inspire a story. Loved the interaction here between d'Art and Constance, espcially their silent communication near the end, which seems so like a married couple. The guys teasing d'Art added a nice touch of humour, and you know they won't let him forget about this anytime soon. |
