Wow, sitting here on the train...people may think I'm crazy, as I desperately try to wipe away my tears. This story was very sad, yet beautiful because it gives us everything we wished we got on the show. Minus the character's deaths, this would've been a great episode that reflected on Grissom's memories and accomplishments as a CSI, husband, father, and friend.

Nice to have you back for this one-shot, even though it was heartbreaking to read. Losing Sara during childbirth easily could have derailed Grissom for the rest of his life, but he had to live and thrive for their daughter.

Having us learn about his life by taking us through those meaningful moments in his mind is a brilliant technique. We all get sick and/or old, and it seems to be coming faster and faster all the time. So, thanks for this unusual look at the lives of Grissom, Sara and their daughter.

I look forward to an update for Blink of an Eye whenever you can get to it. And, thanks for the happy 4th wishes - I just got back from watching a beautiful fireworks display.
