Guest chapter 1 . 2/23/2019 if every rib on one of his sides was broken the others would have to hold his chest up to keep him from suffocating under it's weight. |
TortoisetheStoryteller chapter 3 . 3/30/2017 I definitely label this as a win. I really enjoyed reading it. |
Pom Rania chapter 3 . 8/24/2016 "...no pain he would ever feel again would compare to those days under the Inquisitor's 'tender' care." CARE TO REVISE THAT STATEMENT NOW KANAN? ...I'm a horrible person. But good point about screwed-up measurement systems; just because you've survived horrible stuff, doesn't mean it ever becomes not horrible. I should have read this fic earlier. It's very good. At least I've gotten around to reading it now~ |
Rose Eclipse chapter 3 . 7/11/2016 Definitely take pride in this fic and call it a win. Kanan and Ezra are at the core of the story and you did a lovely job describing their inner conflicts and how they relate to each other. Ezra is definitely in a vulnerable place with the Force increasing his fears of abandonment. His concern for Kanan is touching yet makes him open to the Dark Side. And I like how you also addressed Kanan's weaknesses, his insecurities in his past and the fear of losing Ezra, and how he must learn to accept doing the best he could and take pride in his accomplishments. |
Kgirl1 chapter 3 . 7/9/2016 Definitely a win! I loved this, and I thought everyone was characterized so well. Hera glaring at Zeb and Savine... I would be shaking in my boots! Please keep writing for Rebels! |
Cassturn93 chapter 3 . 7/9/2016 Nice! Too be fair Chopper is really hard to write. I've yet to talk to someone that can pull it off and I haven't even dared yet. For me Zeb's harder to write then Hera. I don't quite know his mind set. Chopper's difficulty is the fact that he's a droid. He has a personality but no more than a cell phone. |
Guest chapter 2 . 7/7/2016 Fantastic! Great pace and build up of suspense. This reads like a horror story ha ha! The descriptions of the medical facility were super atmospheric and creepy. Can't wait for the final chapter! :-) |
Rose Eclipse chapter 2 . 7/7/2016 What a fine pickle the heroes have gotten into! I appreciate the sci-fi details describing the abandoned medical bay and its features and hazards; as a reader we're traveling side-by-side with the characters as they explore it. Your comparison of Ezra to young Anakin is fitting; both driven to extremes to prevent losing a loved one. Having lost his parents and forged a bond with Kanan, I sympathize with Ezra's fears while realizing his vulnerability to the Dark Side. You did a good job with Zeb, especially when he threatened to abort the mission unless the kids cooperated. As an experienced warrior it makes sense he'd take a no-nonsense attitude in the mission. The introduction of a master and padawan in the capsules and Ezra being able to sense their spirits was *very* cool as was the references to the bones of Master Unduli. (I hope the Ghost crew steals them back from the Empire so she can get a proper Jedi burial.) |
Kgirl1 chapter 2 . 7/7/2016 This is fabulous! Everyone is characterized so well, and you can really feel all of the emotion. It's so believable tha everyone would be tense on this mission- and the Kanera in chapter one was so beautiful. :) can't wait for the final installment! |
Rose Eclipse chapter 1 . 7/6/2016 I can tell how much you enjoy this character with details into Kanan's mind and troubled past. Its why I enjoy "Rebels"; the teacher must learn (or re-learn) as much as the student. In many ways Kanan is still a student learning to reconnect with the Force. Your story enforces his courage and persistence that his teammates admire in Kanan but he fails to see in himself. As the series progresses I'm sure we'll know more about Zeb and Sabine and how they relate to Kanan but you've made it clear how they've become better people for knowing him, as do Ezra and Hera. And Hera referring to Kanan as the soul of the family is fitting. Ahsoka's talk with Ezra about selfish love vs. selfless love is fitting and a cautionary tale similar to Anakin's downfall from "Revenge of the Sith". Watching how Kanan and Ezra draw strength from each other as mentor/student and father/son is my favorite part of the show and I see it in this story. |
alloyhiking chapter 2 . 7/2/2016 Agggghhhh! Kriff kriff kriff! Stop fighting and make up like loving friends! And Ezra get your KRIFFING lightsaber back and save Kanan! |
Guest chapter 1 . 6/26/2016 I love the reflections each character has, on how Kanan fits into their crew. It helps develop the other characters as much as it helps the reader understand Kanan. Brilliant, can't wait to read the next part. Happy writing! |
Some-Helping-Hands-of-Fire chapter 1 . 6/25/2016 Words can't describe the amazingness and perfectness of this chapter... |
Techfish chapter 1 . 6/25/2016 This is PERFEEEECT OH MY GOD! You let every character have their own monologue about Kanan! I love the way you examine each character's relationship with Kanan by letting them do it themselves. You even did Ahsoka! I felt like her friendship with Kanan wasn't explored as much as it could have been, so thank you for that. They were all amazing, but Hera's was especially good. The thing about Kanan being the soul of the Ghost was absolutely on point. Also the title. Well played. On another note, where have you guys BEEN?! I've been getting desperate without your Rebels stories! No more Wednesday weekly? |
alloyhiking chapter 1 . 6/25/2016 Ezra! Don't turn dark! Kanan! Don't die! The rest of you! Be family! Ahsoka! SHUT UP! You're provoking blueberry and it's not helping! |
