That went from highly amusing to very very dark very very quickly. Got downright macabre at the end, with the OTP comment.

Omg. I started reading this with a huge grin. Then Mai killed Sokka and I was like 'WHAT? Y U KILL? WHERE'S TEH FUNNIEZ?' And then Koh's final line hit and I might have died.

I love this story and was rereading it when I was amazed that I hadn't reviewed it. I really can't add much to what others have said but I do have an idea for how you might expand on this. Why not look at other OTPs? Do other chapters where various member of the Gaang, Ozais Angels, etc meet their soulmates in the most unexpected ways. Heck even explore what happens if someone doesn't have words tattooed on them somewhere. Are they destined for Spinster-hood (Yes I'm looking at you Azula). OK I realize you either feel this or not and perhaps you've worked this out of your system with Sokka and Mai. But if not, I'm sure that I and your readers would delight to the continued match making efforts of "Koh the Love Bug".

I have…mixed feelings on this fic.

The quality is good in many areas: good narration, suspense, drama, complexity and scope. A certain gag isn’t my cup of tea.

The basic story is strange, ominous, dramatic. The plot twist with Mia and Sokka they should one day marry is interesting/awkward situation for them. Their contemplations fit their characters well. Then Sokka decides to separate and see what the future holds, but then Mia kills Sokka to undermine Destiny and Koh arrives punishes her in his own unique way.

Koh, Mia and Sokka are in character, though I have certain preferences on their characterization. I wasn’t big on Mia killing Sokka, but it wasn’t innately bad.

The wholesome standards are high.
The language is clean.
Nothing is suggestively offensive- thanks for handling a certain detail well.
No extreme violence or any other vile content.

Wow! This is dark and hilarious all at once! A great way to parody pairings via an interesting form of magic, enforced by spirits.

You and Thingsareswinging... I love how your minds work. Keep doing what you guys do best, because this is some great stuff. Mai tries to cheat the powers that be with a bit of inspiration from her would-be destined lover, acts on it, and pays the price for disturbing the order of the Universe. There's almost like an epic tragedy to this, yet at the same time it even parodies this as well due to the circumstances that lead up to it.

This was just great! It works as a one-shot as well. I'll need to look into this sub-genre as well as it sounds ridiculously funny.

Hilarious! Koh with his OTPs, Ty Lee with enough tatoos to have a harem, and Sokka's Words on his butt. Squirmy baby, ha.

This was a really cool (and strange) idea. But it makes for such interesting circumstances, such as the situation you laid out right here. Do you actively ship Mai/Sokka? There's a lot of stories about the two of them on your sight.

Anyways, hilarious. Great job! I really enjoyed this fic.
