Great story...except it feels too short! Perhaps add Ms. Thomson meeting her loved ones in the next great adventure and/or how her co workers react to her death.

I quite like the way this was written and really enjoyed the story. This has probably become one of my most favorite oneshots.

i knew what was happening about a third the way in. and i almost cried. I love this concept. And while i would love a sequel, one wouldn't fit this story. a prequel, maybe. when harry has his first death he personally oversees. maybe a dying child. somthing similar. I'd love to read it.

This story works.

I don't know if it's saying anything but it's a fun bit that is quite coherent and a solid read.

Not to say that it couldn't be improved technically, it could be, but for something that can only really be about this short... It works.

I liked the story quite a lot. If this wasn't just a one-shot I would have been exited to see what would happen next.

Pretty predictable, but still well written, interesting to see an older world-weary Harry acting as an incredibly confident mysterious stranger.
Though it makes me wonder, how does he choose who to give a few days of happiness, and why only give her a few days more, is it her fate to die like that? Something that he can't circumvent. If yes, that seems depressingly deterministic.
And what about all the others he doesn't have time to meet before their deaths?
Makes it feel kinda like a pointless gesture to appease his own conscience and to cling to his humanity.

You've taken a trope that I've never seen done well and did it well.

If only we were allowed one day to do all the things we've wanted to do the most, before...

Sigh.

That was beautiful. I saw it coming, of course, but it was still a great ride. And a very fluffy end despite the circumstances. Typical Harry :)
