Hey I just wanted to say how much I loved reading this. I re-read and watched the hunger games trilogy and just wasn’t ready for the story to be over yet. This story was exactly what I was looking for.
I loved seeing the story from Peeta’s perspective and to see his thoughts on everything. It was so well done, staying faithful to the original material as well as fleshing our Peeta’s character and history in a very believable way that again was true to the source material. It was interesting to see your take on Peeta as we generally think of him as perfect all the time and just truly and genuinely a nice person, probably partly of the way he’s prorated in the film. I hadn’t really noticed just how sarcastic he was or how wry his humour was. It was interesting to see him playing up to the cameras and playing up the romance aspect for the viewers. I always thought he was just so in love with Katniss that he just accepted and believed that she loved him too without question, showing that he was if nothing else a bit naive. But then thinking on it, he was the one who suggested playing the romance card and should have perhaps questioned Katniss’s actions more than he did, although I suppose in the games everything must be very confusing. However I can’t wait to go on and read the next one.
