I can see your point, a lot of smart and quirky kids can be seen as, at least a little bit, autistic.

It's an interesting head canon. I'm not sure it fits exactly, but that's the great thing about fanfiction. We can tweak and make new ideas fit into a basic story. I think a lot of people think of autism as being very disabled, but the truth is that the spectrum is very broad and you don't always know if someone is autistic. So I could see Hermione being on it somewhere.

Wow! This is the first story I read whet Hermoine is Autistic. I think it almost makes me want to read it more. I am a Speech Language Pathologist and I work with some kids with Autism.
