Damn that was a good story! Even though I read the first chapter and then honestly forgot about for a bit bc I became addicted to a 162k word Harry Potter fic, I finished the rest in less than 24 hours when I picked it back up. Also, do you know how freakin worried I was when "it was too late to return the earrings to their rightful owner" popped up!?

P.S. Is there a sequel/have you ever considered an epilogue of some sort? Bc I am heckin invested in this timeline now. What other powers will they discover they have? How will the dynamic change now that they both know each other's identities? Will there be fluff in the school settings? What will happen to Adrien? Will he keep living with his father or will Marinette's parents basically adopt him? Will they question all of Marinette's injuries? How will she play it off(bc it's definitely more than a scratch)? If there is fluff will Alya totally ship it? The answer to the last one is yes.

P.S. again. That was a fantastic story. I will never be able to understand how I was able to take my eyes off of it for as long as I did. Congratulations, it was amazing, goodnight.

Okay so I'm really happy that Plagg is well and alive but HOLY FRICK. GABRIEL HAS THE EARRINGS! WHAT IS HE GOING TO DO TO ADRIEN!? IS MARINETTE GONNA BE OKAY!? HOW IS IT GOING TO BE POSSIBLE TO WRAP THIS UP IN ONLY A CHAPTER?

Please tell me Plagg isn't really dead. Please tell me this will all be fixed somehow. Yeah they finally stopped Hawk Moth, but the price was too great.

What in the hell. First you get me all excited that he was fighting it the first time and used it on the picture of his family instead (great symbolism there btw) and now you got me thinking he just killed Ladybug!? Wait. Frick. Unless Plagg or Tikki jumped in front of it!

P.S. I am a child confirmed. I was at this women's group right? And the one leading had to babysit her little sister. She was off to the side on a tablet the whole time. Well turns out she was watching Ladybug the whole time. She was talking about the episode where they had to dress up as themselves for the dance video. It was all I could do to keep in the laughter (at myself) and prevent myself from having a legitimate conversation about the show in front of all these other adult women. Well, college students, but still!

Ugh finally! Marinette was able to break through all the mind games. We're getting into the final stretch aren't we? I can feel it.

Dang it, do you know how excited I got when "he had a twisting feeling in the pit of his stomach." I was like yes, fight it, become the REAL Chat Noir, FIGHT, WIN! But then he didn't! Frick. I am so invested in this story now.

(P.S. bc I forgot last time) In the last chapter when "Chat Noir" was all "Adrien's not here." I lowkey got chills. Bc, like, he WAS there, but not HIMSELF. So it's like when someone is possessed and is like "x isn't here anymore" you know?

This is getting so freaking intense! I don't even know what to think right now! Did "Chat Noir" just shove her into a room with Hawk Moth? Probably. More importantly, yeah it's plausible that Hawk Moth knows about kwamis, but that doesn't mean he knows exactly what they sound like. Ugh, poor Marinette is so confused with all these mind games, by now she can't even think straight. I hope everything turns out okay.

Dang this is just getting more enticing by the minute. Also, I was reading this before class started and I HAD TO PUT IT DOWN AS SOON AS PLAGG TOLD ADRIEN TO RUN! I couldn't stop thinking about it the entire lecture. And now! Now I'm kinda scared for what lies ahead tbh. One just bc he got akumatized and that's never good. But also bc if he still looks like Chat Noir then Ladybug might just think he's betraying her. It might take her a while to realize he's been akumatized and it will only further the rift that has been created between them. Also also, what happened to Plagg!? Is he okay?

Adrien don't be stupid Plagg is trying to warn you dammit! He's only doing it to manipulate you further. I beg you to see through the lie!

Why hasn't this gotten more attention? (This is Festus14 from Tumblr btw) Within the first few paragraphs Gabriel finds out his son is Chat Noir. And later he starts playing mind games with his son. Plus, as any good fanfic must have, it has good grammar, the characters actually stay in character, and there is an interesting plot. Really curious to see where you take this!

My emotions are a wreck, that was so amazingly written! So glad I found this story, and thank you for writing a happy ending, it would have been awful if Adrien had quit.

At least there wasn't Marinette transforming into Chat. I did expect to see the peacock transformation, but that would be too much for the kids to have handled.
Somehow, Gabriel sounded so right in what he said to Adrien, after all that happened, that truly shook the boy.
I have my doubts that this family could become whole and functional all over again. Even deprived of powers, Gabriel seems like a person who would not change at all. He showed as much in his 'final' words to his son.
But anyway, the fact remains that Ladybug and Chat Noir will still be around, despite Hawk Moth's defeat.

This plus the previous chapter made me think that Marinette's gonna take the ring and transform and Adrien's gonna use the earrings and Gabriel the peacock brooch and all kinds of miraculous-swaps.
I didn't expect Wayzz or Fu to take much action, but their appearance and intervention was of much help actually.
That thing with Plagg and the ring intact was a real shock. I always wondered how Ladybug was going to cleansed the ring, because obviously she's gonna do some real harm and damage and could her powers really undo such?
Gabriel's transformation is cool. Dark version of a ladybug-themed suit. And cowl. Chic.
