This is just all kinds of awesome. I love the little references to zombies, Azimio's text, and Milla Jovovich. Everything just works and the conversation in the latter half is poignant and frustrating. It's clear Santana is, well, Santana, but she's compassionate...sort of. Your reminders of Maxine's daily life are abundant here and we see his mother is a huge obstacle now. I forget her name but she's something else!

Curious as to what's next. Will the mom be confronted? How did Maxine handle her? We don't know but something tells me we soon will.

Well, well... What do we have here? A little jealousy angle going on? Maxine must really feel frustrated and I like how you're developing her. It's strange to refer to Karofsky as a girl, but there it is. It's your AU.

I also like how voice Maxine. Her inner thoughts resonate and it feels real. She might be a little too girly-girl, but I'm sure that's to be expected when you're a fresh, NEW, young woman.

What a fun chapter to read! I liked this and want more. Well done!

I love how you keep them in character and Maxine is a wonderful contrast to Dave. That's not easy to do.

Everything just feels so real here. I love the details about the snacks and Rocky Horror.
