How does Harry not have any power in court as it is his appeal they are judging so he has the right to withdrawal it not too mention hermione didn't have to answer the question, she only had to be truthful if she did

.goodness! I finally found this amazing fanfic that I had started to read a long time ago yet couldn’t remember the title, author or even the website that I had read it on! Not only did I randomly find the fanfic, I have also now finished reading it. First of all, I must salute you for incorporating ideas from the fantastic movie, “A Matter of Life and Death” by Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger into your fantastic fanfic and even taking it a step further by heavily dousing it with H/Hr goodness! I’ve always been a huge fan of this pairing hence I was crushed by JK Rowling’s canon ending to the HP series despite all the evidence pointing to Harry and Hermione being in love with one another. Evidence which you have so eloquently presented in your story that I was mentally clapping as I was reading about it [while also cringing inside when the counter-proof was presented as well]. Moreover, your characters took a life of their own in my opinion, and I especially enjoyed Harry’s interactions with Dumbledore, Lupin, Snape, and of course Hermione. Your new characters of Celeste and the Presiding Judge have also impressed me because in my opinion, one was quite funny while the other was extremely fair! I even loved your stance on Ron’s character arc because I honestly don’t think he deserves to be butchered as he’s been done in many of the H/Hr stories unfortunately; you handled his growing maturity like a champ and redeemed his better qualities to be exactly what he’s always been, which is Harry’s best mate and Hermione’s foil in the HP series. I wish I could go on and on about this fanfic and you as its writer, but then I won’t be able to read your other works and that’d be a shame! I will conclude my review by saying once again that you’ve written an amazing story here, almost like a pro-Harmony essay if anything, and I’m so very happy to have rediscovered it after a long time! I hope to finish your other stories too! Keep up the GREAT work! :-)

This is a really interesting piece of writing. Choosing this particular movie is interesting and I think it fits the original plot very well. I like how you're writing and how the characters are portrayed. I think so far I liked the second chapter best.

This chapter is somewhat superfluous for the story. Ron and Ginny's appearance here is very much addressed at canon shippers and I wonder why you bothered? The few lines and the covered time for both of them are not sufficient. You have good arguments but I would have preferred it if you had not included them.

I'm looking forward to the main part though!

I sincerely believe that Harry's memories prove he loved Hermione all along. Again Harry learned about love from Hermione.

Severus picked his scenes well but they were cherry picked. If we looked at James and Lily's lives we would have a hard time believing they tell in love in seventh year as well. Certainly in some of those memories the reason for Harry's actions should make a difference. As for love due to Harry's upbringing love isn't something he is really familiar with.

I do feel sorry for both Ron and Ginny. Luna's words are true. They fit canon more than the Epilogue.

I would like to point out that Love is the highest Law and trumps it according to the Son of God. In Matthew Jesus talks about how He came to fulfill the Law (Old Testament, Hebrew Scriptures). The New Testament is the beginnings of Grace. Love has always been the reason God does what he does.
I am not surprised that there will be an appeal. It would be against everything that the Deity stands for not to grant it.
