We have all seen the TV version of this episode so I have a question for the author. Did they have time to call and wait for an ambulance. It seems to me the other Comescus would have been on the way back to the house. Not a criticism just wondering.

I must say, I decided to read this story because I loved Tess's Scattered and the idea of a prequel was intriguing. It is my opinion that you wrote a fantastic story. To watch (read) the relationship between Kensi and Marty develope while hiding it from the rest of the team was a fun filled journey. Thanks for sharing!

I have to say, I tend to hate it when people describe Kensi as "giggling," as I really don't think she does it; but you did it justice here by linking it to her carefree teenage days before her father died. Kudos to you! Great toast from the General, letting her know what Don would have thought of his daughter and Deeks. Aww, such a sweet way to have them remove their wedding rings before going in to work! "Granger is skulking around," is a perfect description of him at that time! Deeks' tone when he is on the phone with Zero, and then thinking about whether to visit Callen, is spot-on. Hee, love your reference to the end of the beginning, not the beginning of the end!
