Oh god. When everything was going sour for Jane, I must say, this fic made me cry. At several points, actually, even before she got shot. There is something so touching about how the chapters were written, it's like I could feel how bad Jane felt. So powerful. While I love her language skills, I don't know how I feel about Jane leaving field work (she has such badass moves, and her and Kurt make an awesome team), but after being so close to death, I guess it's what makes sense for the time being. It was still such a lovely conclusion, and I'm glad you decided to write an epilogue, so balance out the angst of earlier chapters. Thank you for sharing and I hope to read more from you soon!

Okay, so I actually read this way when, and I just reread it now, and I think I love it even more now, but the reason I had to read and review again was that I just got a cat about a month ago (okay, two cats who are named Jane and Roman because of course)... but anyways, in this chapter, how Jane tries to bath the cat...

Well, I apparently have the only cats who love water. They try to jump in the shower. Their favorite place to hang out is the sink (and I turn on the water and they play with it)... I used to have a pitcher of water I kept out for watering plants, but they kept trying to jump in...

So yeah, when I got these cats, I remembered this story and I had to reread and let you know!

Okay, so I read this entire thing in one sitting this morning, despite having people yell at me that there should be more to life than staring at a screen reading, but it was so worth it! I can't even begin to quote my favorite parts, but I love that Jane was trying to not allow herself to fall in love with him, because she thought Kurt was just acting that way because of gratitude. Oh and the truce at the dinner at the beginning. And Tasha's guilt. And how Patterson and Tasha talked with Jane and made her realize, and then Jane acting on it, and then this sweet epilogue! It was all so wonderful!

That's a sweet history. I so love it. Thank you for share it with us.
