I just finished reading your story, and I was so happy to find it. I have been missing Merlin and the others so much lately, and you gave them back to me. Thanks! Excellent story.

This was such a good story, and I really like your writing style. Good job :)

thank you very much again for an interesting, well-written story. the beginning was perfect - merlin is court warlock, and all is well... except when it isn't. a nosebleed and loss of consciousness is great for opening whump - enter worried!arthur whom we all love. and of course merlin sacrificing himself to try to keep everyone else safe - but then, on his way home where he belongs anyway.
and the captive merlin and arthur scenes. that's very well set-up, too, that merlin is overcome with both potion and collar, while he's unconscious so by the time he's aware, it's too late. and arthur's presence providing the bad guys with leverage to try to persuade him - and merlin unable to stop arthur being hurt. and arthur making merlin promise not to give in - that's a particular kind of angst i really appreciate. that it takes more strength and self-sacrifice for merlin to watch arthur be hurt and obey the order, than to speak out and stop it and mess things up more. it's harder to watch someone else sacrifice, sometimes. there's so little arthur!whump, b/c people tend to assume merlin will heal him immediately...
i really like arthur's point at the end, though. that this scenario might have been necessary for merlin to get a handle on his magic again after the first attack. i like 'blessings in disguise' devices.

Just found your account and promptly read ALL of your Merlin fics! They're so well written, and you portray the characters fantastically. I love the way you write Merlin and Arthur's friendship, and the hints of Arwen that you throw in (I'm a huge Arwen shipper!) - please keep writing!
