Reviews for Crossing Lines
masqurade2004 chapter 21 . 8/11
this was absolutely spectacular. genuinely, i got to say, this was one of my favorite time travel stories i have ever read. it was so fun to see how their actions accidentally led to the events of the present, and the letters were just, so so right.
daiplat chapter 21 . 7/28
omg i'm ON FIRE. you master, you had me going and then bam! champion george

i am going to be imagining a sequel for myself for a long time... excellent excellent very satisfying fic, well done, thank you for writing
daiplat chapter 18 . 7/28
oh, shit. OH SHIT, GEORGE

btw i love this fic

the writing has been on the wall but i kinda hoped things would turn out differently despite all the blatant warnings that it wouldn't. but thank you for so meticulously plotting how they do, incredible work, EXCELLENT time travel fic. it just apparently isn't a universe-travel fic ;/;

characterization and tension are phenomenal as well
CrimsonStarbird chapter 21 . 7/17
When I saw this fic, I assumed it was going to be a light-hearted ‘Fred and George meet their heroes’ story... and boy, was I wrong. But boy, have I ever been so glad to be wrong! This is a fascinating look at a far-from-ideal Hogwarts, and your depiction of Slytherin was particularly frightening, because of how believable it is. I really liked your interpretation of Snape, too. It would have been easy to make him an obvious hero or villain, but instead you managed to navigate a fine line between them that is so much more true to his present self. I love how it all came together to create the future, and the final chapter had me in tears. What a great final ending twist, too. I couldn’t put this one downthank you so much for sharing it!
BookLover4242 chapter 7 . 6/13
Alice Talbott is Alice Longbottom, right?
Also, wouldn’t those improvements only have been in the Half-Blood-Prince’s book, or do you think Snape put the edited instructions on the board when he taught, but wouldn’t that have meant that Hermione would have commented on the differences between the textbook and Snape’s instructions?
I guess it’s too much to hope that Fred and George will notice Peter’s animagus form and recognise it, since they wouldn’t actually have seen him properly for a while, his most defining characteristic is a missing toe, and the Marauders aren’t going to show off the forms. They’ll find it difficult to spy on the Marauders, what with the map.
Talking of the map, do they just assume that it hasn’t been created yet? They’ll know a rough timeline, surely, so they know it had to have been created before 1981, besides it must have been created during the Marauders’ Hogwarts years. Even given that they hadn’t managed to replicate it, they’ve seen the ability of James and Sirius by now, and it’s not as if Remus is too bad either (he did teach them, after all). Surely they’d be wary of it, and therefore get Fred to take it so they aren’t noticed?
Do they know about the Cloak? I honestly can’t remember.
A chapter 21 . 5/1
Absolutely brilliant.
excessivelyperky chapter 21 . 5/2
I do hope you write a sequel-I would hate to see everything be exactly the same after putting Snape through hell.

Although I am a bit surprised the twins didn't learn the airplane spell at the Ministry and use that to put their names in.
dianaanne chapter 21 . 4/30
Shocking ending. Enjoyed the story!
GitPwk chapter 20 . 4/2
I love your buttons headcanon. I've had the same thoughts; one button stores a pain reliever, another button is a portkey to Dumbledore's office, a second portkey button sends him to the hospital wing, some buttons contain blood replenisher. His whole wardrobe is an apothecary and get away vehicle in one.
femmedefoi chapter 21 . 3/28
I flew through this story, and around chapter 18 started to get nervous, because it felt like we were coming closer to the end, and I didn't see a neat end coming up anywhere soon.

But THEN! You went ahead and just wrecked me with this last chapter-Sirius deciding that Peter should be the secret keeper because he's less obvious made me want to cry-here the Marauders were, just trying to prevent whatever horrific fate they were meant to meet, and they ended up causing their own destruction? Just terrible (amazing, but terribly sad to read).

And then ending it all with George's name being pulled from the Goblet? I had to take a walk around my house bemoaning that one-what a vicious little twist to throw in at the end there. This was so nicely done, but man, did it make me sad at the end there.
John Smith chapter 21 . 3/15
This is good. I like it.
DreamWorld.Queen chapter 1 . 3/15
I'm confused why the twins think Sirius is evil... Goblet of fire comes after prisoner of Azkaban... They already know their family rat was Pettigrew...
KeinNiemand chapter 2 . 3/3
Why do Fred and George think that Sirius is evil shouldn't they already known about innocence?
The Goode Ravenclaw chapter 20 . 2/24
a sequel would be so amazing to this! I really hope you do write one, but I don't want to pressure you. this is my second time reading and it is even better than the first! I really was able to see how everything connected and it was so beautiful! (I'm posting on the last chapter because I apparently already reached the limit)
thrillingread chapter 21 . 2/8
wow. this was an absolute joy to read, timeline changes and myster and slytherin power dynamics and all, as well as beautiful prose and characterization. unrelated note: i kind of ship george and snape, in that "i know your secrets but i wont tell" sort of way.
