I loved this so incredibly much. I a completely agree with you about Bagheera and Mowgli's interaction being a highlight of the movie. Then again, I'm a total Bagheera fangirl.

Awesome short story! Bagheera is my favorite character. I especially liked how Ben Kingsley did the voice of this new Jungle Book. This story would have been perfect for the movie!

Oh my god, I love this!

I actually have my own idea of what happens after the battle with Shere Khan but this is exquisite. Love the fact that you let Mowgli still be the timid human boy he is, waiting for the harsh words he always heard from Bagheera.

To instead have Bagheera fully accept him, tricks and all, like Baloo does, I just... I love it so much :)

Heh, minus the fact that he technically put the forest to fire, I concur. The boy was quite baddass at the end of the movie! Also, that friendship has always been my favorite thing from the books and movies. :D
